I checked out Running Point on Netflix over the weekend. I enjoyed it more than I expected. As for wwbm stuff.... Spoiler TLDR: Kate Hudson and Jay Ellis kiss in the finale, but things are way up in the air for next season. Long Version: Kate Hudson (Isla) unexpectedly becomes president of LA's pro basketball team. She's in a long engagement with a white doctor but has a really good rapport with her team's head coach, played by Jay Ellis (also named Jay). Isla and Jay have clear chemistry, but they never cross the line. Isla really loves her finance, and he's good to her. But eventually her job gets in the way and they break up. About a month later, Isla makes a grand gesture to get her man back. He says he needs time to think about it. That night, Isla and Jay have a talk after a big playoff game, and they kiss. She was into it, but he cut it short and left. Before that, Isla had agreed to let Jay out of his contract so he could take the Boston coaching job to follow his ex-wife and kids. So at the end of the season, Isla doesn't know if she might get back with her ex, and she assumes that Jay is headed across the country.
One interesting point is that I saw several "Isla and Jay: Love Story" type videos when I was searching for the pictures in my last post. So at least some fans are shipping these two. Also, Jay's ex-wife is played by Rebecca Rittenhouse, who was in The Mindy Project and is in her own wwbm marriage irl.
Found a surprise on Paramount+ with YA interracial called "Freakish". It is a horror series set at a high school during the weekend and it ran for two seasons. Could be interesting and I like teen horror so I will probably see where this goes especially if I cannot find anything on TUBI which can be hit or miss some weekends. I will post the trailer tomorrow if there is one. EDIT: Man eight minutes in and this thang is looking really REALLY good!! Hope it keeps ascending astronomically because this could be good enough to drink too
^^^ This is a HULU original but I am watching it on the Paramount+ streaming app via Prime Video. Chad L Coleman from "The Wire" and "The Walking Dead" stars as the adult in charge as a High School Football Coach in charge of Saturday detention. Mary Mouser from "Cobra Kai" is featured prominently too
Here is the season one trailer for "Freakish" which is about a hazardous chemical plant explosion on the outskirts of town that causes a Zombie Apocalypse:
I'm watching the first episode of "Running Point" right now & have to chuckle at the fact Jay Ellis's character is supposed to be a younger black version of Phil Jackson.
Leverage: Redemption S03 Trailer: A Little Bad Can Do A Lot of Good (April 2025) Hardison & Parker (Aldis Hodge and Beth Riesgraf)
Looking forward to this. Leverage is such a great show to watch in the background. Formulaic, archetypal and corny. You’re just supposed to enjoy it, no irony or layered meaning.
This season officially makes them the longest running current bm/ww IR Relationship on TV. 15 years and counting. My favorite scene from my favorite episode of these two. The Date Night Job 2x04.
Did Aldis Hodge become part of the regular cast after the 1st season or is he still just a recurring character?
Between 2008 and 2012, he appeared as a regular cast member in all 77 episodes across five seasons. Due to work commitments, he became a ''special guest star", appearing in a total of eight episodes in Seasons 1 and 2 of Leverage: Redemption.

Amanda Seyfried (Mickey Fitzpatrick) & Nicholas Pinnock (Truman Dawes) Go From Work Partners To Lovers In Long Bright River On Peacock
Ok, he's still a recurring character in season 2. Do we know if he's gonna finally re-join the regular cast on this upcoming season 3?
Here's the trailer for Peacock's "Long Bright River": I've always like Amanda Seyfried, so I'm obviously in.
No official statements have been made about his return to the main cast. Some reports suggest that his participation in the new season may be limited. I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.
They are coy on the intimate relations aspect. I was already looking forward to checking this out. Looked good in the previews and trailers.
