I can't believe how you guys analyze things!!! At the end of the day everybody has a preference ? .... and there is somebody for everybody no matter what complexion they are!!
I've dated both dark and light-skinned men. I really have no preference. It's rather impractical for me to have one, since I can't see the tone of a man's skin. I don't even ask, if it comes up in conversation, all well and good, if not, I don't care. Knowing me, I'd probably forget anyway; I have a horrible time remembering what people look like.
True. im also a european woman who prefers the blacker berry, especially the new immigrants fom west Africa.

Categorizing one another by race merely from skin color is like labeling different species of creatures, and that doesn't bode too well. So True,So true, But I have to say, I think everyone has their likes and dislikes, In looks, Style, and Hair ect ect... I have always like both dark skin and light skin, Lets take Shawn Waynes. Now that man is so fine. (I love that face hair) I like a well dressed man, Yummy!!! He has to be a strong man too. I do not want a wimp, He has to know how to Spoil and when to say NO!!! But... A man can have all this and be the bigest jerk I have ever met. And its good bye Joe! I had to put my 2 cents in on this one... Well 3 cents...
recently i saw a light skin man with a white woman and they didn't look attractive at all. From a distance i thought it was a white couple.Dark and white go together
for me, im more attracted to darker men, but i dont necessarily rule lighter guys out...i mean if youre cute youre cute, everyone has their preferences, but nothing is like set in stone or anything...i find darker men more attractive but im still open to anyone!
I think it works both ways. I've found that women went with lighter guys - in the UK, mixed-race (or bi-racial) men are quite hot property. I've rarely personally seen women going specifically going for darker skinned guys, though I do remember something interesting I read in Malcolm X's autobiography. Recalling his life before he went to prison when he led quite a seedy experience, he mentioned hanging out with a white woman who ran a gigolo service that specialized in providing curious, often attached, white women with black men to have sex with. Apparently the madame joked with Malcolm that he would never be able to work there, as he was too light-skinned, and all the women asked for 'real blacks' as they called them - as dark as possible. Each to their own I guess.
INJERA, I think he means if I get together with her (??) that he will eat his hat. I guess that she is out of my league so I will be doing something so amazing that he will metaphorically eat his hat.
This is all load of crap i mean whats the difference between white americans and white europeans? To me there is no difference white is white just as black is black, you cant assume just because people live in different continents then they think differently. The white women i have dated have always been americans and they always told me that they like my dark skin.I am yet to come across any white person who prefers lighter blacks over darker ones and i dont think i ever will because they are not there. There are white people out there who would go out with any black person irrespective of their skin tone, then there are those who would seek the darker ones knowingly.Lets be honest with ourselves the only people who find dark skin unatractive are blacks themselves. I grew up in a black society that said because you are dark then you are not beautiful enough.
If we're really honest, we'll admit that white people actually prefer lighter skin. Light skin is seen as more attractive by whites - of course it is, after all, whites are light skinned themselves lol. Read up about your Josephine Baker (1920's).[/i] When I was at school, my medium brown skinned friend was told by her white peers that her her skin color was attractive. However, they then proceeded to criticize the darker hues of an African classmate. These are facts that exist. Please note, I'm not referring to the few ww who date black men, I'm referring to the majority of white people's views. Anyway, why care about people's views? There really is no right or wrong answer about skin tone.
