"Reading Rainbow" aired on PBS 1983 to 2006 and encouraged a love for reading in an entire generation of children.

Now Reading Rainbow is back for 2014! And it's famous opening theme has also been revamped to reflect the times we live in.

"The original theme was great" said network spokesman J.J. Brewster. "But kids today are different, more hip and edgy. We feel this new version of the song speaks to today's youth."

    I'll be tuning in! :smt023

Hilarious! I wonder what would have happened if the used the theme song to Villa Allegre or classic theme to The Electric Company.
