She doesn't have to defend it. She is just trying to get album sales, just like everyone else. Notice don't hear anything until an album comes out. Then all of a sudden, "I don't understand why Insert barely controversial topic isn't more accepted, or why people feel negatively about this". Nothing new.

LOL, I dig Eve, but why did she go there with the BM comment? Black women have been 'doing it' for years as well.

I think where most of the flack generates from.. began with her first public IR appearance a couple of years ago with a rich old man. And she continued to date only rich older men.

The fact that Maximillion Cooper is worth $50+ Million...well you do the math. A little more realism and less deflection please Eve.

 

She is trying to sell a crappy album and to do that she needs BW to buy her albums. In order to accomplish this (especially after a long hiatus), she has to bring up a hot topic with BW and make back handed comments towards BM. And no matter how bad her album is, people who support this line of thinking will support it (preview the album on itunes and then see the extremely positive reviews).

What amuses me is that people seem to forget how many Black Men died for love or the inclination of interest in a single white woman. Yet, the only approved interracial relationship by the Supreme Court was a BW/WM relationship. The fact that she dates WM is not even remotely an issue with mainstream society.

The issue is that she needs to complain to maintain some level of "street cred" in regards to the medium she uses. Her lifestyle makes it a little difficult to believe her "thuggish" brand of music. So, I think she feels she must do these things to sell albums (or at least her label does).
