I laughed at how many of these criticisms can be leveled at them as well.

    1) The women don't care of themselves; go out w/o makeup, etc: that's so sexist, since he didn't put the same burden or responsibility on the men. Women must be always be presenting themselves attractively for men (by extension, for me), etc...

    2) Poor diet and health? Russia leads Europe in declining health indices for men, particularly due to alcohol consumption, heart disease and relatived lifestyle conditions.

    3) The hyper-dressy style (and I'm no fan of shopping in pajamas, either) is very common among the poorer countries of Europe, where conspicuous consumption and image are everything

Okay, I'm getting off my high horse now to go have lunch, lol.

I am originally from Lithuania, we never had any issues with America or its people, at least within my family and neighborhood that I know of. In fact, I always wanted to visit the US one day and a few years ago I did manage to go to Boston for a holiday. It was a nice place, friendly people, great food and weather, I enjoyed my time there. Now, I want to visit New York too, and then many other cities, if I can.

Eegads! I just read this and saw how many typos I wrote in that post. I'll be more careful in the future, lol. It was late at night (I think), and I was pooped, much like the current moment, but at least I think I can write coherently right now.

    Thank you!
