Again losing sight that this applies to WHITE men. Last time I check men of color, especially black men in Hollywood still have to fight off stereotypical roles that marginalizes black men and a WHITE actor dropped out of movie this year because he was portraying a character that was Asian.

As a race, White men don't have to FIGHT for strong roles. WE DO!!

The film Manhattan, considered one of Allen's best films, was art imitating life( this was before he had a relationship with Soon Yee Previn, Mia Farrow's and Andre Previn's adopted daughter)at the same time, a love letter to the city of New York. He filmed it in black and white because that was how he saw New York City. After Allen saw it win an Oscar, he hated the film.

 

This is a familiar theme in Woody Allen movies. His film 1979 Manhattan had his 40something character dating a 17 year Mariel Hemingway.

JLo had issues with Matt Damon because he and Ben Affleck hung out and partied together. Affleck was engaged to JLo at the time. It was believed that Affleck and JLo ended their relationship because of Affleck's and Damon's bromance and JLo's demands in the relationship.
