I don't believe their relationship gets much coverage outside of the US, apart from sites like the Daily Mail UK. I was actually surprised to see them on the red carpet on Sunday. They are pretty typically low key.

The best Eddie Murphy SNL skit was the "White Privelege" skit on what white folks do when no black people are around.

Me neither. I never knew he dated Elizabeth McGovern. She was fine back in the day. She made a movie of a mother with a biracial child years back. Just wished she had his baby instead of Scary Spice's.

 

I'm surprised they lasted this long.Eddie has done the wife and family thing and like many middle aged men who have he's probably in no rush t do it again.Paige has never been married and has no kids I'm surprised she hasn't made the wife me or I walk ultimatum yet.

I remember that one. He said during the make-up scene that he looked like porn actor Harry Reems. "This makes me look Harry Reems-ish."

 

This would be like 30 years from now someone finds a backstage picture of Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba together at the 2015 Oscars and comes to the conclusion that the two of them were dating when in reality all they did was go on stage together to present and award and then posed for photos together once the presentation was over.

I don't believe Murphy ever dated McGovern but the two of them did present an Oscar award together back in the 1980s and that is where that picture is from.

Elizabeth McGovern was a bit of a rebel back in the days. She did whatever the hell she wanted in her personal life. Look at the film Ragtime and I think she was in Native Son with Oprah Winfrey(in Native Son McGovern played a white woman who was friendly to her black chauffeur, she gets drunk and the chauffeur named Bigger(how ironic) accidently kills her by stuffing he body in the furnace out of fear of getting caught with her). I think I had seen her in person during the filming of Fair Game with Cindy Crawford when I was an extra.She was cut out of the film because it was said that she was difficult on the set. I remember Cindy was having trouble with her lines and McGovern lost it. I remember her screaming something to the effect of, "This scene is suffering from DEATH BY OVERACTING!"

I recall she did a brief nude scene in Ragtime and another film I forgot about. It's nice to see she is still acting.

 

Eddie had been paying a high price with his ex-wives and ex-girlfriends(like Scary Spice) for a long time and he had once expressed a desire to have a home full of kids. Be careful what you wish for.

I do remember that nude scene from Ragtime. She is not afraid of being with a brother on the screen. McGovern was one of those rare actresses.
