Rogue's ability to steal power is only a temporary thing and she will use that time to defeat an opponent. If she took Superman's powers, she couldn't handle it. Superman's powers are too much for even a human to handle even if it were for a few minutes.
Add to that the issue of her also absorbing individuals' memories & personalities along with their powers, which is also why she would only absorb only a small amount of an opponent's ability/abilities for fear of having their personality completely override her own. Keep in mind that she ended up permanently absorbing Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel's abilities & personality due to Danvers possessing half alien Kree DNA which lead to Danvers being sidelined as a superhero for a few years & Rogue leaving Mystique's Brotherhood of Mutants for the X-Men in hopes of Xavier helping her to deal with both her powers & issues with Danvers' psyche in her head.
Superman vs. The Incredible Hulk would be like a prolonged affair like his deadly battle with Doomsday(a fellow Kryptonian). The Hulk is fueled by anger and stress and will not stop until he kills someone. Look at the graphic novel of The Ultimate Avengers and you will see Hulk tear the Chitauri Herr Kleiser apart with his teeth.
Caught Guardians of the Galaxy yesterday. Loved it. My only disappointment: the post-credits scene and who it featured. (no spoilers)
Lots of folks were hoping that the after credits scene would feature a certain individual with specific ties to Thanos considering The Collector had a certain object in his collection that was spotted in the Thor : The Dark World end credits scene & the whole eventual Thanos getting the Infinity Gauntlet that everyone assumes is going to happen.
I guess the three of us are of like mind on this question, lol. That last scene was a BIG disappointment. I was so hoping for a one-liner from Thanos like "It has begun" or something dramatic like that, lol.
I got why they did it considering the comedic tone throughout the movie, but just wish they would have done a second one that was more in line with setting up one of the forthcoming movies, especially one dealing with Thanos & the other Infinity Gems or Stones as they are now being referred to in the movie universe.
Anyone have Kali Linux ISO? Anyone have Kali Linux ISO? Trying to install to "borrow" neighbors' internet. Could use some install advice. thanks
It's been a good stretch since she's last posted here however. Unless one or more people who actively post now keep in touch with her to pass along the question, she's out as an option.
I am just glad no one is talking about tmnt. I have not seen the movie and I am a millennial so I will be grading them on 1987 cartoon and the 1990's movie. Go ninja go ninja go
Could Rupert Murdoch’s Failed Bid To Acquire Time Warner Result in MARVEL-DC Merger? It’s something to keep an eye on, according to the Hollywood Reporter. In a new story speculating who will be the next person to try to acquire media giant Time Warner (parent company of Warner Bros. which in turn controls DC Comics & DC Entertainment), in the wake of Rupert Murdoch withdrawing a controversial $80 billion dollar bid, the Hollywood trade identifies the wealthiest person in China – commercial real estate giant the Dalian Wanda Group chairman Wang Jianlin as a potential dark hose suitor. Though the Dalian Wanda Group reportedly denied interest in acquiring Time Warner., it’s already the owner of AMC Entertainment, the second-largest theater chain in the U.S., which it acquired in 2012 for $2.6 billion, and THR speculates other recent activity by Wang in the U.S. could signal a potential bid. But if the obstacles to an acquisition move, including trade regulations between the U.S and China proved too difficult, THR identifies three other “suitors-in-waiting,” the first being Disney, now of course the parent company of Marvel Comics & Studios. “The prospect of combining Disney's Marvel with Time Warner's DC Comics might be too compelling to ignore, plus CNN would give Disney the cable news asset it lacks,” writes THR. “Disney's market cap as of Aug. 8 was $149 billion compared with Time Warner's $63 billion, which gives Disney CEO Bob Iger more leverage than Murdoch might have had."
