The Cayman Islands, Bali, Sanibel Island and Maya Bay. I have been on a beach kick this week wanting to sit on a beach with a beer for a few hours then snap back to normal life.
Ooh the Cayman Islands...that would be cool I kinda miss the beaches on Guam and Trinidad. Damn, I am land locked. So not fair lol.
The price of a hotel room in Manhattan is fucking ridiculous. You might fork over close to a grand for a few days at some two-star shit.
Look for hotels closer to the lower eastside or even Queens, the subway ride ain't that long and its much cheaper.
I agree. Thought about a short trip to NYC in December, but almost did a backflip when I saw the prices. The plane ticket from Germany is cheaper than 4 nights at a 3 star hotel! And since I just left my current job, I won't even get a discount anymore :smt088 Might now go to Philly instead, which has better deals and I can still take Amtrak to NYC for a short visit
Or even NJ. When I went last year, that's what I did. Explored NYC all day, then took the train to NJ. I stayed with a friend's frat brother for free, so I don't know about the hotel prices. The train ride wasn't long or expensive either, and from what I gather, a lot of people do that.... vacation in NYC but stay at a hotel in NJ. So *maybe* hotels are cheaper out that way? TDK, I'm curious now. Could you please confirm if that's right or not?
Depends on where in Jersey. The deeper in you go the cheaper but its almost the same because of travel cost unless you try airbnb. I haven't tried but I have friends who swear by it and is a lot cheaper than a hotel
