Dinklage perfectly nails the character's personality from the books. I can't imagine anyone else in that role.

No. Otherwise she wouldn't have needed other ladies in waiting & house servants to spy on Tyrion to find out about Shae.

I wonder why she testified. He saved her life

I assume Cersei was the one who got her back and told her what to say.

I don't think she realized that he was trying to save her life by saying cruel things and sending her away. That was clearly underscored when he interrupted her testimony and she responded by looking directly at him and saying "I am a whore", the very same cruel words he said to her to force her to leave. She was bitter, angry, and seeking revenge because she did not understand that he was trying to save her by driving her away.

Plus ***SPOILER ALERT**** not to give anything away, but if future episodes stay true to the books Shae will do anything/anyone to advance herself....

That was all Daddy Tywin's doing as The Hand/Judge. Cersei is the one who told Tywin about Shae at Joffrey's wedding after Shae finally got careless & was seen by one of Cersei's maids in waiting that she had spying on Tyrion. That's why Tyrion was trying to send her away because he knew Cersei would find some way to use her to hurt him if she ever found out about Shae.

    Precisely, gentlemen.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned (in her mind).

Brilliant. I actually clapped and shouted at the television at the end.

It's hard to believe he actually cares about anything

If he loved Catelyn, that love sure as hell doesn't extend to the rest of her family, lol.

And then came on to Sansa in a very "un-paternal" way, after just talking about how he could have been her father.

They live in a weird and repressive world but like Tyrion said it's better to be a rich crazy person than a poor one

Yeah. Tyrion's scenes have been very weighty indeed. The sad understanding and resignation he had when he realized his buddy wouldn't fight for him and the very real pain on his face when he and Prince Oberon recounted how shitty Cersei was to him, even as a baby. It was some of the best acting on television in a long time.
