Not a movie. It's going to be a TV show. They are shooting the pilot now. If it gets picked up, you'll see it in the fall on the CW network. It takes place in the same universe as Arrow.

It'll be interesting to see how they will fit in the larger big screen superhero adaptations to the Justice League.

Avengers 2: Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver

What's revealed are screenshots of the two new characters in action on the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Here, Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron-Taylor Johnson) are acting out a scene in their costumes.

I understand why they didn't go with the sexy gypsy version of Scarlet Witch's costume, but I hope she gets to wear some kind of "hero" outfit. I'm not sure I like the red leather jacket and the goth dress.

I'm assuming the outfits they are shown in are their initial looks in this movie & are meant to look "homemade" in nature, since superheroes are relatively new in the Marvel Movie Universe. If they become official Avengers in this movie, I'm pretty sure there will be more "heroic" looking outfits coming for them.

Similar to the uniforms on the first X-Men film. Even the mutants on the side of Magneto had to be dressed like civilians to blend in. Even Victor Creed/Sabertooth.

S.H.I.E.L.D. uniforms went from the way they used to look in the comics to a more futuristic military look.

I figured in this game, the "comic book wardrobe" will not work for film makers. It works well with Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, The Watchmen, Wonder Woman, Iron Man and others because the fans are familiar these heroes, as well as The Avengers. In the film makers view, it is all about how a super hero/villain would function in the real world.

Anyone watch Archer or Chozen? I'm laughing my ass off at Chozen right now.

I've watched a few episodes here & there of both. The episodes of Chozen I saw were pretty funny.

Could they have gotten a plainer looking chick to play The Scarlette Witch? She's always been portrayed as an exotic beauty in the comics. Instead, they cast someone who looks like every other ordinary chick you'd see on every other ordinary day in every other ordinary town.

But, that's Joss Whedon. I love his work, but his female casting choices trend towards the bland. As much as I dislike most Micheal Bay films, I have to give him props on casting. He's not against casting the hotness.

I don't know man, but I think Elizabeth Olsen pulls off the character quite well. I agree that if they wanted to go for someone exotic, they could have gotten someone from Eurasia, namely one from Ukraine, as the Scarlet Witch is from that region. But I think Olsen works out well.

When going for acting, you have to consider quality and there's always an heir of sex appeal to the character, not just in looks, but also in performance. That's why the "blands" like Cobie Smulders and Scarlett Johannsson tend to exude hotness in more ways than just their looks.

Let me clarify myself. Yes, they are pretty. But, they are every day pretty. Very all-American. Olsen is cute. But, the Scarlet Witch is supposed to be fine. Exotic fine.

Of course, I'd rather have a good actress in the parts than eye candy. But, there seems to be a trend where they go out of the way to cast bland.

I'd personally would go for the "bland" if their acting quality is all the more better. Seems like you sacrifice one or the other when you cast certain people. Acting can prove to be generic or sometimes without expectations.

And for the record, compared to her sisters, Elizabeth looks mighty purdy. :smt053

I am looking forward to The Flash series, I hope Barry's personality is similar to his in the new 52 comics as the sarcastic but nerdy and cool police scientist and fingers crossed for a Green Lantern crossover with Hal Jordan.
