SHAQ FU!!! LEGEND REBORN I can definitely see this as being better than the original game, given the new development team are skilled veterans. But, it will be just generic based on what I see here...
Hmmm.....not loving it. I was hoping for a more unique story. This story seems rather cliche. I hope the gameplay makes up for it.
This isn't even the full story. Rather, this trailer only speaks on the character. But the overall story could be something much bigger. Though...it could suffer in the same vein as Assassin's Creed.
I saw the trailer at 'Robocop' yesterday. It gets better each time I see it. Abbie Cornish is so beautiful in natural way that it makes me want to cry. She's fricking gorgeous. I also saw 300: Rise of an Empire on Friday. Also a good film, but then again I'm partial to Sci-Fi and Swords and Sorcery. Eva Green was outstanding.
Arrow isn't bad. But, it's not as good as everyone makes it out to be. It's decent light weight entertainment.
It's on a fixed budget, but it works out quite well. I can see the value in it, but then again, it's a TV show on a network that stretches its dollar just so it can make a continued profit for future projects.
Agreed. I think most of the appeal for the show is due to the producers making it too Batmanish in tone & especially with some of the actual Batman elements & villains they have thrown in. They definitely should have done a reverse on the personalities of his two personas compared to Bruce Wayne/Batman. As Oliver Queen he should be serious minded & all about using his business connections & influence to attempt to do most of his "cleaning up" and betterment of the city, while as the Arrow he handles all the crime he cannot publicly deal with as Queen, but come across with a carefree/smart ass persona compared to his normal Queen ID even adding in the trademark (but fake) goatee as part of his disguise as the Arrow to throw off any possible suspicions that he could be Oliver Queen. But that's just me.
I am looking forward to the Flash series and would love a Hal Jordan cameo cause in the comics they were great friends, heck wish Arrow would have a Hal Jordan cameo also.
That's what trips me up. Why would DC change the formula to make the characters seem more "believable" or "relate-able." Part of what stands out about many of the DC characters is that they are viewed as more structured and iconic compared to their Marvel brethren. And you're right, Arrow should be a more carefree, smart ass akin to Robin Hood. That would make a better character.
Not gonna' happen. They choose GA because he is the hero they could most likely cast in the Batman mold. The'd really rather have Batman, but WB doesn't want to risk over exposing their cash cow. So, they looked around, saw that GA had similar characteristics as Batman. Millionaire Playboy, cool tech, etc ... . Plus, they knew it could work because they wanted to use a young Bruce Wayne, on his way to being Batman, on Smallville. The suits at WB put the kibosh on that. So, you got Olie. I'm betting the reason he isn't called Green Arrow is because both Green Lantern and Green Hornet failed to set the box office on fire. So, they were scared the TV going public with stay away because of the word, "green." Sounds stupid, I know. But, that's how Hollywood thinks.
Yeah, clearly WB/CW has wanted to do Batman since the Smallville days, and probably would have done it if not for Nolan's Batman Begins being in the works around the time that they wanted to introduce the pre-Bruce Wayne Batman into the series. And speaking of Batman, Fox is doing a Gotham TV series that focus on the lives of some key Batman related characters around the time of the deaths of Thomas & Martha Wayne, primarily on a young James Gordon : http://www.businessinsider.in/Gotham-TV-Series-Details-And-Logo-Revealed/articleshow/31905049.cms
This just seems like such an odd choice for a series. Gotham without Batman? I just don't get why we should care.
Hmm...... This report on the Search for the new lead in Star Wars Episode 7 is a bit disturbing. Apparently the director J.J. Abrams wants a ethnic minority cast, but the high muck a mucks at the studio want to keep the main cast relatively monochrome. I hope J.J. doesn't back down to those closed minded cowards. Here are the reported top five actors up for the role.
It's a vast universe. Why are there only Terrans? Lol. In other Star Wars news, the latest Star Wars-Legacy comic featuring Ania Solo is pretty good so far. I'm still partial to the Cade Skywalker series, but I am impressed with what I have seen to-date.
