He was just cast as Detective West in The Flash superhero show on CW.

 

I loved that show. It was cancelled when the writing was getting better. But it is on DVD now.

 

Are you thinking of the old Flash tv show from the 80s or 90s? There's a new one being planned that won't air until the fall. The Flash character (Barry Allen) was in a few episodes of Arrow this past fall/winter on the CW. This new show is the one that will feature Jesse L. Martin.

 

I was. The one with John Wesley Shipp and Amanda Pays. I wonder if Jesse L. Martin is going to play the role that was played by Alex Desert. Or is he going to play a villain?
