I don't have a smartphone (yet). Don't remind me of the headache I have with that order :smt012 Anyway that Garmin is a pretty cool thing and I love the squirrel voice
i have a gps in my car and i take it with me when i travel...i like having it in addition to a smartphone
A lot of people complain about the navigation/maps on some of the new phones anyways (I have the iPhone 5s and I hear people griping about the iphone maps all the time). I still use the navigation that's built into the car lol. I played around with a garmin in my sisters car once...it was great! Very cool navigation tool!
I'm careful with data, since I had $35 a month in DC for completely unlimited data and texting... now it's $55 a month for 1 gig of data and unlimited texting. My data carries over, so I'm careful to stretch it as far as I can. Given the option between using data or a GPS... I'd take the GPS any day . Sometimes the wifi here freezes too much for a skype conversation, and I have to use my phone's data for it. A GPS makes it easier to "budget" data Edit: Especially since my phone only has service here in the city. If I went to visit my great grandmother 5 hours away, after the first 30 minutes of driving, there's not a single bar of service... yay GPS!
I'm a little bit tipsy at the moment. Oh my. And I find it amusing that I can be more open and more humorous at this state….especially on Skype. LOL.
