    OldBoy (American version)

Remaking a classic Korean film can only lead to being okay to disastrous. Even if Spike Lee is directing the movie and we have a star-studded cast, I have a feeling it may end with just a flicker.

If this does okay it will be considered a hit by Hollywood standards. Look at The Ring & The Grudge movies both Americanized remakes of very successful Asian horror movies. Hollywood has been pretty much idea bankrupt for quite a while now.

The Original Oldboy was creepy and disturbing. So if this remake isn't successful it might just be because the story isn't as palatable to American audiences. Especially if this movie has the same twist as the original.

I saw the original Oldboy and it was pretty mysterious and graphic film. I couldn't forget it even if I tried. You have to check it out. I guess Spike Lee trimmed the fat(the good parts)to make this version. We'll see how it works out.

Sales-wise, it will be a hit, much like the other Asian-converted-to-American horror flicks, but in terms of quality, it'll be a major dip and dive. I may come off as being skeptical and yeah, I'm aware that Spike Lee is doing this movie, but I have little confidence in such transitions. There are two more movies after OldBoy, one which I own for DVD and if they want to make the other two movies, it better show a lot of promise.

    Who Would Win?

DEATH BATTLE continues to show it's pretty logical track record and now we have another hypothetical match-up. Now granted, there have been crossovers before, but who would you place your money on?

I can't stop watching The Hobbit. I should be hitting the hay, but I watch it all the way through, no matter how many times I've already seen it. Time to get the Director's Cut DVD, lol.

I'm the same way with Aliens

No matter how many times I seen it, I watch it from start to finish when it's on cable

Same here. And no matter how many times I see it, I still wait for the payoff scene when they seal off the medical bay and realize they've found a way in and look in the overhead air duct.

There's the Vengeance Trilogy, which comprises of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, OldBoy, and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance...but Lady Vengeance? I never heard of that one as a series, TV or otherwise.

Surprised that they haven't made a sequel to that yet with superhero movies now the "in" thing over the last several plus years. A movie with an older Violet, now in college, Dash, now in high school and Jack Jack now a pre-schooler/kinder gardener as the focus with new next generation villains popping up.

There was a video game that picks up where the Incredibles left off with The Underminer.

Just a heads up. This clip fades on & off. Don't know if it's because it's a cut scene and wasn't fully edited or something.

I'm not. Brad Bird is too busy making Mission Impossible movies with Tom Criuse.

There is a big screen adaptation of the classic show The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in production now. For the longest time, I had been wondering if a film or a tv pilot for it would ever come about. I LOVE that show.
