With all due respect, police officers detain people. Are you going to fight police over being detained? Sometimes law enforcement detain people, in order to clarify an issue. Believe me, I am not a fan of US law enforcement and the US legal system. Please do not lose your mind, because law enforcement has lost their minds. Many in law enforcement have lost their minds!!!
Fixed. He hasn't really expressed any opinions. His attacking & opposing other people's opinions is how you basically guesstimate where he stands.
I'm pretty sure he's saying unless it's the cops, he's not being detained. And he's absolutely right. No two ways about it
But if you fight being detained and try to walk, that furthers the assumption that you're guilty. If you're innocent, comply. You'll likely gain a bit more respect if you remain respectful and level-headed. They will look stupid in the end for making assumptions based on...nothing.
They're going to look stupid in the end anyway, whether you let them yank you around or not. And even if my leaving furthers the assumption that I'm guilty, I don't care about assumptions. I care about the fact that I'm not a thief and I'm not going to let anyone treat me like one also, I come from the angle of knowing that plenty of this kind of thing is based less on the presumption that you're up to no good than on a desire to pick on, bully and "dominate". Not all merchants who eye you like you're trouble really think you're trouble for example. Some just want to insult you. Nobody has the right to detain anyone based on bullshit, so with me, it ain't happening. Besides, what happens after you let them "have their way with you" and they find out you weren't stealing? A half-hearted apology with them walking away feeling big and strong (and ready to do the same thing to your kids) and you walking away feeling what...? No thanks. Meet the devil halfway, and you're just that much closer to hell. You'll end up having to meet him halfway yet again Instead, you should always stand up for your dignity and always fight back.
Not just us, really. They seemed to target everyone, as if something is a "little off" with people who aren't white compared to those who are. I really don't think the whole thing is that serious. It's probably because CEOs in those companies stereotype minorities/non-whites with being associated to crime, more-so than whites, although white men and white women commit them too. This actually makes sense. Although I'm probably right in saying that a few women would prefer to date men who are criminals rather than men who are law abiding.
I have no problem with the Cops detaining me. They have the resources to find out who I am in less than 5 min. Unlike the dummies at the mall that can only waste my time. tyvm
