You do realize that the cloud is made up of mechanical hard drives or SSDs?

They are just running raids and backup raids. there is nothing wrong with you putting your stuff there. It is just well.. you lose security.

You do realize that these HD and RAID systems are monitored all the time by computers and people, right?
They aren't HD and SsDs siting in some pea brains computer just waiting to fail.

I don't trust any second party with my data. Am I just suppose to take their word that they won't leak it?

Right. Because the American version of KBG knows that your data is the missing link before the next world war 3

Sweet cheeks, let me let you in on a little secret.
If someone REALLY wants it they R going to get it.

The Germans are calling the NSA 'Stasi 2.0'. How very fitting, and ironic.

and they can all fail just. I'm one of those people who monitor them and install computers that monitor them. I have seen them fail. I'm just pointing out that they are no safe on the cloud than they are on your local ssd or HDD unless you don't know what you are doing. You steal lose security. that's all.

If it is offline, then they can't get to it. The government would require a search warrant to get in your house. With the cloud, no warrant needed just an agreement between big business and big government.

The government is "requiring" less and less to violate and harass American citizens.
If they Really want it..they will get it.

We are all small potatoes until we aren't.

Yeah but never mind the government I don't want some wanna be hacker having access to my stuff.

Ever notice how every entity (corporation, gov't, etc) ends up behaving the same, regardless of their supposed 'values'?

Stalin was a major evil devil but he said something that is true:

'In the dark, all cats become gray', referring to politics and power.

Ain't that the truth. I feel creepy saying it, but Ol' Joe was right.

In agree Ore, I hate to give Stalin any kudos, but that was right on the head unfortunately. Franklin has been charged with saying that about women also. Lol

Orejon,

Hello! Hi. How are you?
I was wondering if you could help me research a statute of limitation law in hawaii? The actual type of case is not something I want to discuss in public, though.
Uh..do you still have Skype?
I never sign into mine anymore. If you could pick a time..I can meet you there.
Thanks so much!

I've searched every which way but can't find any info on it at all.

Benjamin Franklin? Wow.

I'd be glad to help if I can. I still use Skype. Even if I'm not online, you can send me the info/query in a private message and I'll get it when I login (it will say 'Pending' until I receive it). The statute of limitations stuff is usually pretty straightforward and is included in the section of the state code governing the crime/offense in question. We should be able to find something.
