Dude you're letting your bias against all things supernatural influence how you see Superman & how vulnerable he is to magic. How does his intellect play into it? That's like saying he knows he's vulnerable to kryptonite so he figures a way around it. Even when he has known he would be facing someone with access to kryptonite and came prepared bad guys have found ways around his precautions.

I'm actually being practical observing his reactions towards fighting individuals with magic vs. those implanted with some kind of Kryptonite, not because of my lack of belief in things like magic. It's not a bias. Just critical thinking.

And actually, he has find a way around it, if you actually remembered anything at all in the animated series for example. He has a suit which repels any effects of Kryptonite against them.

In the movie, All-Star Superman, he was researching ways to lessen the effects of Kryptonite.

If we're talking the Super Powers Team TV show, one episode showed Superman trying to lessen the effects of Kryptonite through some kind of deep, meditative body training as though he's in a trance. See where i'm going here?

And back to the original discussion at hand, the fact that he's faced many opponents whom are magic-based, he has found ways around it, instead of charging into the fight prematurely if he's fully aware of it. Plus, it's not like he's useless against them like you may assume. He fought Captain Marvel and outsmarted him by using his very own power against him. So, if you're wondering how intellect plays a hand in it, there's your answer as one of the many examples.

Where have I stated that he's useless against magic?? The point I have been trying to make, which you keep saying is not so, is that magic is on the same threat level as kryptonite. I will repeat the observation that I stated in the Superman vs Thor discussion that you completely dismissed : Magic is treated as a metaphysical thing and thus negates Superman's normal invulnerability to physical attack in the same way kryptonite does.

And I'm making the case that it's grossly inaccurate since magic isn't fatal upon contact with Superman, nor does it weaken him by stripping him of his powers. He's not able to withstand magic, yes, but it's horribly wrong to assume that it's as dangerous as him coming into contact with Kryptonite. One is FATAL due to the radioactivity of the substance.

Had that been the case, all magic-based entities would make Superman virtually useless since all they need to do is simply be present and Superman would have to avoid them or keep at a distance.

Dude you are way over thinking this and trying to use actual science fact for a fictional character.

Not at all. I'm just being practical based on the fictional characters and their encounters with the adversaries they've faced.
