Height is romanticized by both men and women. I think height helps a little, but it is not as important as a man's confidence, a sense of humor and looks, according to most women. My late uncle Albert once told me about money making any person attractive. "The money makes you pretty," he said. I think it is true.

Lol, trust me I know. But this is where I live, I can't just sit back and wait for a woman to fall from the sky.

If the notion of height is the same as it is in a business sense, the then the shorties get the short (lol) end of the stick. But, I think that short men can prove their ability to be powerful--without the Napoleon complex.

Hm. I have to say I'm attracted to taller men.

That doesn't mean I would never date a shorter black man, though. It isn't even clsoe to the only thing I consider and I'm sure that's true for most women. I mean, my current boyfriend is a bit quietly spoken and I sort of wish he were more outspoken, but I still love him to pieces and couldn't be happier. :p

Now replace "I wish he were more outspoken, but he's fantastic and I'm incredibly happy" with "I wish he were taller, but he's fantastic and I'm incredibly happy." You would get the same result, at least for me. I admit I prefer it, but there are ten millions things that go in to making an attractive man. Nobody is going to have all ten million of them at once, and I'm very happy with my boyfriend who has 9,999,999 :)

That was beautifully said Jemn...He's a lucky guy. I consider myself average height (5'11) and have never had a problem getting 'play'. Now getting the right one is another matter:-(

Everybody has something about them physically that's going to make them less marketable:

    - too short
    - too fat
    - too dark
    - too palid
    - too poor
    - small dick
    - male pattern baldness
    - straight up ugly
    - handicap
    - too good looking
    - premature graying
    - etc. etc.

The good news is it only takes one decent chick to make it all immaterial. If you feel bad about being short, think of the kids with progeria. They would be happy to be 5' 5".

You should be more worried about the fact that you might find yourself in an atmosphere in which nothing good about you counts, or worse, in an atmosphere in which even things that might be considered assets in others catch you spite and hatred. It can happen!

Sorry to be so negative. I guess I'm just in a fucked-up mood today. But still it's true, there are people out there for whom even your positive personal assets are reason to hate you. Sometimes it heats up, sometimes it cools down, but it's definitely a part of our wonderful society.

I absolutely luv tall, dark handsome men. The taller the better, say 6'5" maybe. I'm 5'6" and with 4" heels he still towers above me and I like that. :freehug:
