My most important question is where are the bad areas?


I know rice is there so that section is ok.

I'm planning to buy a house in the north east section. I don't want to buy it in a place where home value is dropping.

Bad areas when I lived there was part of the heights, Main street area. MLK, the wards etc. Rice area is good, but expensive. When I lived close to the Astrodome, you were advised to not even cross the street after dark. That area was between Main street (hooker area) and the third ward so there were crime there all the time. That is cleaned up since they chased the hookers away and cleaned that area up. Down town used to be terrible, so was mid town but that is all cleaned up also. What happened after Katrina, I dont know, I just know that crime went up, not sure if that has equalized yet so that is why I think paniro could help.

 

I know absolutely nothing about the North East part of town, I never liked the North part of town, I mostly stayed in the South and South West quadrant in town.

If you want to see what the prices of housing is doing in terms of trend - I use Zillow.com that will show trends for areacodes and cities etc.

Naw. I don't think he'd go that far. As much as his obvious love of put his opinions out there can probably be seen as an ego thing, I think him saying he wouldn't post is an ego thing as well. He's got more motivation to stick to his word and not post than by posting, by sticking it to the people he sees as his "haters" by proving he doesn't need to post as much as he does.
