Was at San Soo tonight that was followed up with Pankration and grappling. I got such a hard thyroid poke, it felt like I went blind for a split second. That spot still hurts. No joke in that class. Fun as heel though.
what the hell every time you look forward to seeing a big fight...like between say Uriyah Faber and D. Cruz, someone pulls out due to an injury
Lol U can always take up knitting Even tho any combat training you take comes with the risk of a dislocated ankle or broken rib, it still draws u in My worst pains came from judo, as one side of my body was wasted for a straight week
Another easy fight for silva He's not willing to fight jones, but he'll fight another big man to keep his record tight In other news I just read up on jones ducking chael at 151 whatever happened to these guys fighting anyone, anywhere The real days of the UFC
lol:smt021 he was just shit talking anyway anyone who does MMA trains some jiu-jitsu, so at the minimum they can defend against it (Matt Hughes, a notable wrestler dubbed this Anti Jiu-Jitsu). survival is the first aspect of jits that you pick up as a white belt, because you'll spend most of your time in compromising positions when rolling against higher level guys. once you learn the basics of survival, you can start working sweeps to regain position or take the fight back to the feet. as a side note, nice to see Damien Maia go back to his top-level BJJ game as well during UFC 153 He proved again that his blackbelt is the real deal.
everyone already knew the outcome of this fight. Not even sure why they gave it to him. Silva is just leaps and bounds ahead of those tools. They need to give him Jon Jones, but those two keep saying they won't fight each other. No one comes close to making Silva work and frankly I can't wait for him to retire. I wouldn't pay money to watch a NFL team play a HS squad, and I wouldn't pay money to see Silva put on a clinic against someone who's outclassed like that.
after the bonnar embarrassment, this is what the fans want. They know Silva dismantles mothafuckas at light heavy weight and are wondering why he doesn't fight someone who's top level at LHW.
http://www.tmz.com/2012/08/27/ken-shamrock-fight-female-accuser-mom-punched-too/ good ole ken....he may not be good enough for the UFC anymore, but he could possibly take on ronda rousey in strikeforce
