Bristlecone pines Windy Ridge near Alma, Colorado. Pines are over 1000 years old and many are above treeline and grow sideways because the air is thin at 12,000 feet.

We are nearly all very familiar with transparent tissues, because without them our eyes would not work. The lens and cornea depend critically on the crystallin proteins, an excellent example of molecular convergence. Transparency is, however, much more widespread. It is useful as a means of camouflage in habitats where an escape from visual predators is otherwise impossible, such as the open ocean, which lacks structures to match or hide behind.

I'm sorry tam, but Greeley is horrible. No offense to those who live there. I hope you can visit again and find some of the more beautiful, non touristy places here. I am not a native of Colorado but I have to say it's got so many beautiful places to visit that will leave you in awe of the beauty.

I have to find a motive that expresses "dynamics" maybe in nature?, difficult to have a great, a special idea..anyone has one??:smt115 It can be speed, an attack ..I've made one, where swans slide on a waterfall, they fall all differently, but I think it's not the big kick..

Vultures or Hawks when flying in for the feed are very impactful...
Snakes and their snap attacks, and sharks (but sharks ARE common so not original idea)...

A thunderous avalanche is always wondrous,
A Tsunami is very powerful -- the way the sea sucks the ocean back like a bow and arrow, then explodes, destroying all in it's path...

Victoria of Niagra Falls...always a stunning act of nature
Anything with meteors...or falling stars
A volcano erupting, smothering towns...lava appears to move slowly, but it moves rather quickly in fact.

Even this which I found amazing...I watched a spider spin a silk web on my porch.......I was astounded at the SPEED the spider spun. He/she was on a schedule and before I knew it, this magnificent web from pole to pole was intact. They work very very quickly.


(of course there are non-nature ideas, too..like an Aerial plane demonstration, or group parachuting/skydiving, all requiring co-originated dynamics..even a human relay race where the baton is passed, or a horse race where the jockey timely opens up their horse to bolt for the last lap only)
