Cool, I actually have that exact phone. But my hands are too big to use those tiny touch screens properly. :(

Well, Mother 3 never reached the states at all. It's for the Gameboy Advance, however, through emulators and an English translation patch, you were able to play it still. Basically, with localization issues, we would refer to Mother 3 as Earthbound 2 in North America.

By the way, Thump, if you really enjoyed Final Fantasy Tactics, you should try the Ogre Battle series, whom actually handled the FFT games.

I always wanted to give the Grandia games a chance, but never really had the time. But you know? There were so many other RPGs that came out like Legend of Legaia, and the Wild Arms series, that people pretty much overlooked them.

But also, the Xeno series continued, though as spiritual successors. Xenosaga games comes to mind and Paniro, since you enjoyed the heavy religious themes, you won't be disappointed with Xenosaga 1, 2, and 3...all are VERY compelling. Lastly, Monolith Soft currently released Xenoblade Chronicles and it continues the tradition of quality assured storytelling of a grand scale.

    Baten Kaitos (series)

I have happened to have grown up with Nintendo pretty much all my life. So, at the time, without a PS2, there was a RPG drought, but the upside of it all was that there were some games that were under the radar and were heavily quality assured. This is where the Baten Kaitos series comes in. The developers behind the series are Monolith Soft, who in turn, worked on some prolific games such as Xenogears, Xenosaga series, Chrono Cross, and many other Square titles.

This is a GameCube exclusive game and anyone who enjoyed their past works would certainly enjoy these games. Here are trailers to both games. Enjoy.

Yeah! I played the hell out of Tactics Ogre as well.

You know what would be cool? If they made a Game of Thrones game that plays just like Tactics Ogre. That game had a intricate, swords & politics plot with a shit load of characters as well. It would be a nice fit.

Eh, video game adaptions to TV shows or movies tend to leave a sour taste in anyone's mouth. Sure, we've seen some winners, but for the most part, it wouldn't work.

If they took it seriously, like the way the makers of the Batman Arkham games take their games. I think it could get made right. Of course they would never actually make that game. ;)

It's not a matter of seriousness as much as the execution works appropriately. There have been a lot of games based on some franchise that looked really good on paper, but doesn't quite work in actuality. The Rocksteady Studios Batman games delivered strong showings because they were able to connect with the gamers and immerse them into the world, without making it repetitive or dull.

For Game of Thrones running on a FFT engine, it would require some crafty work. But then again, it could fall short seeing that it could work better as some average arena fighting game.

If y'all get the chance, check out a cartoon called The Legend of Korra. Don't let the fact that it airs Saturday mornings on Nickelodeon fool you, it is a really well written show, that I think adults will like even more than younger audiences. It is a sequel series To Avatar The Last Airbender.

Saw the first two episodes. Seems on par with the original Avatar thus far.

Hmm...... is this a permanent time jump? Are they going to explain whats been happening over the last 5 years? It is interesting to see the passage of time and age progression of some characters, which has always been a weak part of comic stories.

And they have really stepped up the "minority" count of heroes. I counted at least six. Icon, Rocket, Green Lantern (Jon Stewart), Black Lightning, Blue Beetle, Bumblebee, oh and the kid running ops in the HQ. So that makes seven.

One last thing, if it's five years later wouldn't Superboy technically be an Adult (physically anyway) and if so, shouldn't he Lose the "boy" from his name. Obviously Superman is already taken, but they could think of something.

From what I've read on a few comic & TV show sites the change is permanent. This whole second season has been given the title "Invasion" and speculation is that the Vandal Savage/the Light takeover from the first season was only the tip of a bigger scheme orchestrated by Darkseid. Note the appearance of G. Gordon Godfrey aka Glorious Godfrey known agent of Darkseid in this episode as well as the fact they never went to in depth in the first season into the whole weapons from Apokolips showing up on Earth issue. I'm assuming we will be filled in as we go on what happened in the last five years, especially what happened to Aqualad, Kid Flash, Red Arrow/Speedy clone and did they ever find and rescue the real Speedy from the Light.

Love the racial diversity they have with the characters. Since it's now five years ahead I wonder if the current Atom in this is now the Asian version they had around a few years back and if they have the female Asian Dr. Light as well? I wonder if make Mal Duncan, the brother in the cave, will become the Hornblower as he was in the 60's-70's Teen Titan comics or since this is an alternate universe becomes this reality's Cyborg since he seems to be the tech guy by monitoring missions and overseeing functions of "The Cave".

Being that Superboy is a clone and was artificially aged to a teenager technically he is still a "child" so that may account for his still teenaged appearance and his still going by Superboy.

I don't recall that. Maybe in my early years, I was too spoiled with Cartoon Network when it was good. :smt033

Rumor has it Marvel & Disney are planning to stop production of the Avengers :Earth's Mightiest animated series at the end of this second season in favor of an Ultimate Avengers series to go along with and be set in the same "universe" as their current Ultimate Spider-Man series which they seem to be promoting as their go to animated franchise series. phe Problem with that is comic & animation fans seem to be less than thrilled with the new Ultimate Spider-Man series and the Avengers is a HUGE hit. The second season episodes so far have been very good. Marvel & Disney were already in trouble with fans for cancelling The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series in order to produce the current Ultimate Spider-Man series. Stay tuned for further developments as they become available.
