This would make a great tattoo. What this picture say to me is, you see something you've been afraid of your whole life and for the first time you decide to come out and face your fear. Nice one Tam :smt023
Thanks, TBD. Nice interpretation. I've seen several similar drawings, but this one really impressed me. They did a great job on the details.
Thanks, Ra-Ra. He did it in pencil; I just forgot to change the setting on my scanner so it just looks like ink.
Pass that bit of info on to him in regards to the scanner if he decides to scan his work and wants his pencils to look inked.
That's definitely be an easy way to get it done. Lately he doesn't seem to have much interest in drawing. He says he's not bored enough. I hope he doesn't quit drawing altogether. That would make me sad.
Sounds like lack of inspiration, especially if he's only drawing when he gets bored. I've had it happen at various times over the years. Hopefully he finds something that will motivate him to get back into his drawing. It would be a shame to let his talent go to waste.
I know what that's like & I hope he finds something to inspire him too. I agree that it would be a shame for his talent to be wasted.
I'm starting a course in acrylic painting course next month and our first project is to paint a copy of a "master" painting...this can be any famous dead artist, according to the teacher. So I'm doing a Frida Kahlo. She's my favourite artist...anyhoo...this has promted me to add some of Kahlo's work to this thread, because I love her so much. i've probably already added it, but can't be bothered looking back at all the pages. Enjoy! This watermelon one is the one I'm painting.
I won 1st place in a black history month poster contest in the 6th grade. LOL I just thought i'd share it for the art lovers. Its a pic of Matthew Henson.
These are interesting Sin, especially the top & bottom pics. The details are amazing. When you paint your pic, it'd be awesome if you'd post a pic of it. Very nice, BD.
