Self control and how soon you sleep with someone have nothing to do with one another. For the health issue, I'd recommend condoms. Probably polyisoprene rather than latex, if you're really concerned. (Or if you or the woman has a latex allergy)

 

The time and the place varies depending on the two people involved, the chemistry, etc. Do you tell women right up front that 3 weeks is the right time, that 6 weeks makes them a prude and 2 weeks makes them a slut? If not, how are they supposed to magically know this?
