Canadian booze brought to the U.S + The Preacher's Kid movie (has Tank in it) = A very happy me.

I'm likely also going to hell I bet, for drinking booze with a religion-ish movie :p

Yesterday, I decided to rejoin the free dating site I was on 2 years ago and then for a brief time last year.

Some things never change. Many of the same guys are sending flirts and emailing me that did so 2 years ago (and last year). They don't remember me. LOL. I've decided not to point out the fact that we've talked on the site before. And when I've talked to a couple, they haven't changed their approach at all.

I also looked at some profiles of the guys who have looked at mine and the essays....my God, they're sooooo beyond bitter (I don't want a woman who cheats or I don't want a fake woman, if we meet you better look like you do in pictures, etc). Do men really think that's a good way to introduce themselves to prospective dates???

My question though: if you've been paying for a membership on a dating site for 2+ years and you're still on it: why haven't you changed your approach? Why haven't you looked in a mirror and did some self-evaluation?

    It boggles the mind!

There are a lot of women like that too. Self evaluation doesn't apply to victims its always someone else's fault.
Also don't under estimate the fact a lot of dudes use those sites for hook ups. Its far cheaper than a bar and way more productive. What do you like to do for fun?

Good points by both Bookie and yourself DK.

On a completely random note, I just had dinner with the people of walmart (friends of a relative). My head hurts so much now....

I'm sure there are. Since I'm not a woman seeking a woman, I'll take your word for it though. LOL.

Yep, I know that all too well. I've run into quite a few of those!

Are you trying to date me? LOL.

Going to movies, hanging out with friends, playing games, museums, bowling, making movies, reading, normal stuff.

Yeah, it's a shame what's happened with her. I thought she was very pretty when she first started out and thought she was a good actress. Stupid drugs.

Oh ok you're not into weird stufff just checking lol. Then I suggest you meet more people while going out and doing thing you like. Don't be afraid to initiate. I took a poll of couples in my life and only 2 out of 16 met from online dating. Everyone else met through friends work or mutually shared activities like running or volunteering. I'm not saying you should rule out online dating but don't put your eggs in on basket either.

So tell me, WHY do they contact someone who makes it plain on their profile that they are marriage-minded and NOT interested in just hooking up? Classic case of not bothering to read anything I've written? :smt013

People rarely read what's written. They look at pics first then situation(kids, divorced, job) and then they try to get to know you. Truthfully for the more relationship minded women I suggest trying sites like eharmony and match.com. The paid sites seem to have better results for relationship minded people, especially women. Like my mom says you usually get what you pay for when do either cheap or free.

eHarmony was a joke for me. I was matched with people I wasn't even remotely interested in. And I tried several other paid sites (Match, Yahoo, IR Relationships) and met the same kind of jokers I met on the free site. People with the money to pay for a membership don't read either.
