I've never run into the absolute BS I ran into at lunch today. 5 minutes into the lunch, I looked at all of them checking out all of the waitresses and not acknowledging that I even exist and I checked out of the lunch.

I've haven't felt this horrible about myself in a really long time.

These are pretty smart guys...I don't think it would help. LOL.

You're absolutely right, it is a competition and I was just made to realize that I'm out of contention at the moment.

 

I'm so very sorry, especially that your co-workers acted like such assholes in public.

 

Bookie, think about it a minute. You're the woman these guys see day in and day out - and take for granted like they do their wives & girlfriends. You're out of contention because of that alone.

The guys I worked with were pretty open with me, but I never felt I was *in* contention because I was a co-worker. I was about as exiting as their desk chair because I was just always there. The closest any of them ever came to flirting with me was telling me not to wear short skirts after my knee surgery because the scar grossed them out.

 

Awww Bookie dont be down on yourself. Would you really want to date a guy like any of the ones in that group? didn't think so. You are fab just the way you are. Don't allow other peoples BS to bring you down xo

I don't think 30 or 40 pounds will help with attracting this group of men to you. These guys are well paid engineers and I think they know exactly what they looking for. They want the barbie type...and to be honest...after all those long hours in school and having to pay for expensive college educations....

Can you blame these men for wanting all of their hard work to pay off ?...Regardless of how it may make you personally feel...these guys are in the best part of their lives and want to live.

I don't get why what they did was wrong?
If I hung out with a bunch of women who were oogling other men how could I be upset about it? Especially if that's what they do in their free time.

 

They didn't do anything wrong, and in my perspective if that is not the kind of guy Bookie wants, then she's quickly eliminated them from her dating pool.


By "kind of guy" I mean one who oogles other woman in front of her. They probably were completely unconscious of Bookie's feelings but hopefully the man that is lucky to date her will be more attentive and not invite her to a boobie bar. lol
