To earn money to eat and have a place to live. Its funny how libretarians don't have a problem with cops firemen social workers teachers or any other state workers since that's all socialism under their way of thinking. If the only way you can get quality is by denying others then the system really does need changing.

Th U.S. is ranked 50th in the world for life expectancy, but pays twice as much for healthcare than any other nation in the world.

More than 16% of GDP is spend on healthcare in the U.S. and the number rises every year.

The healthcare system in this country is broken.(RIPOFF)
Sorry if a universal healthcare doesn't sound like a better option for most Americans.

So what would you consider the solution is?

I think we should ALL pay into a national healthcare system, similar to medicare, in a partnership regional private healthcare providers, or set up a parallel system that directly pays doctors, medical professionals and hospitals and cut OUT the middle man HMOs.

If we ALL pooled our collective national resources, we could cut individual health costs in HALF to TWO-THIRDs.

What part of 'we' did you miss???

IF you killed ALL the poor people in the U.S. paniro, you would still be getting ripped off on your healthcare.

Thank you. I would be totally uninsurable if I lost my present coverage. I have MS & asthma. My medications run probably close to 60-70K a year.

Well you're a leech on society so you don't deserve medical coverage even though you paid into it for decades. God forbid you dare ask for care after spending your entire working life caring for others.
If you end up destitute because of an illness its your fault. You should have been born rich.

Right, I worked 80 hour weeks for 40 hours pay for decades, paid into long term disability, medical insurance, life insurance, social security, etc, raised and educated a kid by myself, helped other people when I could, gave, and still give, to charity. But I'm a leech. So what I want to know is, will these Tea Party creeps help me with assisted suicide? Or am I just supposed to hope the bridge I throw myself from is high enough to kill rather than maim me? :)

Under the GOP's healthcare system we'd go back to preexisting conditions being basis for denial of care so theoretically my asthma from childhood could keep me from getting insurance. Its basically only for the perfectly healthy who better never have more than the flu in their lifetime.
