Two friends lost a parent yesterday. One lost her father the other her mother. Not looking for sympathy but it reminds me this death thing is real y'all. Spend some time with your loved ones you never know when it might be your last. Today is going to be some major mommy and me time. I'm cooking for her and we're doing some bible study even though I hate it. You only get one mom and one dad. Shit I might even give my dad a call.
Just remembered one of our own lost her grandmother a couple of days ago too. Keep your head up boo.

Shes on my mind as well...thoughts are with you beautiful lady.

I've noticed that as I'm aging I'm facing my and my friends and loved ones mortality. Life is fleeting, we need to appreciate it and the people in it more than what we do.

Gods this!! I lost my dad 41 years ago, as a kid not quite 12 years old. There are days I still miss him. Life is fleeting, and none of us know if we'll live to be 100 or get run over by a bus tomorrow. Take advantage of the time you have. No one ever said on their deathbed "I wish I'd spent less time with the people I love."

DK, I think it's immensely cool that you're spending time with your mom. My son and I don't do that enough in the rush of everyday life - but at least he never leaves the house without telling me he loves me.

It's always disconcerting when our parents have actual LIVES. My son was *highly* amused to meet the young man I've been flinging with. I think he giggled for 3 days straight.

Yeah I'm so use to her dropping everything for me or my brother. I guess its her time now lol.
Well I guess that means a couple of hours in the gym before lunch with Mama Fantastic.

Yeah. Sometimes we even have SEX.

I have an unusual relationship with my mother. Because my dad died when he did, in some ways we discovered "dating" at the same time. Which led to her telling me all sorts of things my older and younger sisters were not privy to. Fer instance, I know her current husband and she ended up on the family room floor on their FIRST DATE. And she had rug burns.

LOL this was about..25 years ago, maybe a bit more. She'll be 77 in November. But still...for a girl who grew up in the 40's that is rather something,

Pull over, Sarah Palin: President Obama's bus is about to run yours off the road. The $1.1 million (yep, you read that right) Obamamobile is an impenetrable-looking conveyance the size of a cross-country Greyhound, painted all in black, with dark tinted windows and flashing red and blue lights.

Damn, I wonder who is paying for this. I guess it pays to be a fast talkin’ Chicago Politicans. Where the hell is my three piece suit so I can jump in some local race, lol.
