I think as a way to get guns out of homes and off the streets, it would be necessary. Every building, home, car, garbage can, etc. should be checked and they should be destroyed. I'm talking strictly about my fantasy world of gun control only, and nothing else.

In the real world, it's not plausible.

I love you, DB, but it scares me to think that in your "fantasy world of gun control" that you think that random searches and seizures by the government would be okay.

That only leads to a whole host of other issues and basically our freedoms are over. You're basically saying that it's okay for the Gestapo to come back.

You really need to think your theory over, even if it's just in your fantasy world.

To be clear, I'm not calling you a Nazi, I'm giving you an example of what your theory could become, if it were practiced in the real world.

In australia where very strict gun control was implemented, it was already strict they had an amnesty.

Guns were brought in no questions asked to government depositories ad people received a small cash payment. The government then melted th.

The Stick was that those caught after the amnesty would have a high penalty.

    It was very successful.

Culture in us is completely different, other countries see the way it's part of society kind of off the wall to be honest.

So I don't think it would work.

There have been quite a few cities that have tried it.

See bolded. To most all citizens of the US, it is not our way. We are peaceful and law abiding citizens who have never raised a hand or gun against another. So to characterize us with the criminals is a bad portrayal.

Disregard FG, karmacoma, and Nerdy Girl on their comments. They're trying to tarnish my good name because I'm just too...innocent. Blue Waffles are merely a sweet delicious delicacy. But punching one can make you crave a waffle here and there. Don't crave a waffle? Why not some Red Pancakes?

I don't think Leks meant that jordie, it's just I think to peeps who live outside of the states who hear so much about the obsession the US has with guns and their right to own them, it's just so foreign to us. I've never seen a shop in Australia that sells guns, never had a conversation with a friend about guns an never give guns a thought because they're not part of our lives. I remember a couple of years ago watching a show about America and there was a bank that was offering a free gun to anyone who opened up a bank account with them. It's stuff like that and people saying that they have the right to own guns that set our countries apart...it's a foreign way of thinking for us
