Yeah the second is called Quarantine 2 : Terminal. The plotline is it takes place on an airplane forced to make an emergency landing because someone on the plane has a virus (the virus from the first I would guess). I think it is playing in theaters also because it's under " Same Time as Theater" category in the On Demand section of my cable box menu.

why is this franchise being rebooted?

didnt the ones Tobey played in gross SERIOUS bank?

are they trying to milk this shit without introducing anything new or what?

they took a page out of EA's playbook with respect to their recycled football games

    new year, same shit!

Well, I'd say first reason would be money.

Second reason is that maybe they are wanting to tell a more true story from the comics. I noticed that the leading woman in Peter's life this time around is Gwen Stacy. Supposedly Mary Jane isn't in the movie at if, possibly no more than a cameo. With that said, I kind of want to see how this plays out. While I'm not as excited for this as The Avengers or The Dark Knight Rises or other movies, I would be thoroughly impressed if they made this the movie where Gwen Stacy actually dies, like in the comics. By the hands of Spider-Man himself (an accident). If they lead things that way, I think for Sony this could potentially be their own Nolan version of Spider-Man. Looks pretty serious already, even with a new angle of Parker's parents.

That last one with Sandman & Venom was kinda weak compared to the first two so obviously mofos got scared, so rather than continue with what had been established I guess Hollywood logic dictates better to reboot and wipe out what they considered a fuck up with the third movie at the expense of the two better movies. Go figure. :smt017

    Freddy Krueger in Mortal Kombat

Out of all the downloadable content, I would have NEVER guessed Freddy Krueger would come to the Mortal Kombat universe. Don't believe me? Look at the video.

Well, so far Marvel Studios hasn't followed the path of Fox and have been pretty good with translating most of their stuff to the big screen. They've selected some good directors and actors lately, so I think they're building on a strong foundation. Captain America was right up Joe Johnston's alley, as was Thor for Kenneth Branaugh. So far it seems Avengers has been placed in good hands with Joss Whedon.

Whether it flops or not, it's quite the enterprising thing for a movie studio to do...so I say god speed Marvel Studios, god speed.

that'll be interesting to see how a yin and yang type of IR team holds up on TV. It wouldn't be a big deal if they were both white and literally made for each other, but black and white?

    hmmmm indeed

that's not going to mull over well with some people, but I hope it gets enough viewers to do a couple of season's worth of damage

I used to love these two in Star Trek DS9

    :)

technically he's Klingon and she's Trill (nerd alert) but to me they'll always be a symbol of white and black unity.

Heh, those pictures make me wanna' go watch some old episodes now.

I don't know how it's going to work. Definitely seems like a different approach and it leaves it open for more romantic feelings to come into play between them. I also like the idea that they are making them younger to help appeal to a younger audience on the whole Smallville/ Kyle XY bandwagon .
