I watched some of the GOP debate and they seemed to have contradicted themselves several times. One area they stated seperation of church and state. All stated their should be a seperation of church and state. well when it came to abortion they started with their religous beliefs....HHHMMM is that seperation of church and state or is that pushing your religous beliefs on someone else. the other was they talked about Obama cutting the NASA program and let that go private but isnt that what conservatives/tea baggers believe in that private industry should do it because they are better suited to it. they state that they govt should partner with the private industry when it comes to the space program. FLIP FLOP ? what did you see in the debate that you agree with or disagree with and what contradiction did you see in their stances last nite ?
I watched the whole thing and it was just embarrassing. You're definitely right on the ball that they have contradicted themselves especially when espousing the idea of state's rights. Abortion and gay-marriage? They want to impose and go against the idea of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for those who fit their worldview. Go to PolitiFact and they should show you some of the information as to whether what they said were true or false.
yeah. I like that. people need to get from radio shows and just deal with the facts. I wonder if people really listened they will find that people couldnt justify bankrupting the motor companies and then slamming the success of the motor companies with the bailout
The American public is just angst-driven due to the economic woes. They seemingly think everything is a two hour movie and things will get done. The economy is like an earthquake...it's unpredictable and can level the nation. So there's no definitive answer at all especially with greed attached to the top wealthy.
barack seems to see the writing on the wall ? http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_theti...a-my-family-approves-of-a-one-term-presidency
He's very likely to get a second term, so they'll have to endure the media frenzy for a good more until 2017 when he steps down officially and the new person takes over. It's a stressful position. You're basically the face of the nation, and there's little room to breathe to be yourself. I can tell he misses the private life, but he'll have to endure it a bit more.
It's a bit more complex than that. You see, there are jobs and yet there aren't. If people get laid off, they want to find something that matches or exceeds their pay from their prior work in order to maintain their lifestyle. So the jobs aren't there for the people who want the same sort of pay. And then we have businesses...rather...big corporations who refuse to make their CEO and other executive positions to decrease their own pay and pour more money into the jobs market. Rather than sacrificing a little of their wealth, they simply give themselves more income so they can keep their own lifestyle in check. If those top 2% wealthy businessmen poured more money into their employees, this would help the middle class, country and pretty much a lot of the economic slump. There are other areas to address, but save that for another time.
also dont forget technology is eliminating jobs also. people will need to get retrained . also lots of jobs are going over seas (labor-type jobs and also degreed type jobs as well)in any case jobs need to be created and people will blame the prez for lack of employment
That is also true. But there are jobs in which technology must be hands on and there are plenty of them with that. Almost no job is about the usage of some form of technology. The only one I can recall would be manufacturing vehicles on a mass assembly line.
