Hence astrology has been regarded as a pseudoscience. And it's a form of faux understanding because people held superstitious ideas. It's not real science nor does it really explain anything in reality's sake.
And that's perfectly fine. Humans tend to cater to such things because they value supernatural mumbo-jumbo.
Nothing to do with my zodiac. It's all about the human mind fascinated by such things. This is universal, regardless of signs...
I'm very certain. Even someone like Dr. Dawkins have an inkling of interests in such things...but mainly out of debunking. Mystery can be summed as "human ignorance." We are curious creatures and curiosity is what we feed on. As for beauty, it's strictly societal and embedded into us on what's perceived as beautiful. That changes over time.
Beauty isn't strictly societal because many of us find different things beautiful. I was also thinking in the terms of self expression. We does the need to express ourselves artistically. The need to dance, the need to write a beautiful sonet, the need to feel inspired. If we are truly mechanical beings influenced by our biological needs why is art a part of our lives.
Good point. It's not strictly societal. But I would say that the fascination of something different and new tend to contribute to that. Dance and other forms of art aren't anything spiritual either. It's a form of pleasure from a personal standpoint. Why do we engage in such things? We're fascinated by life and aesthetics.
Dr. Dawkins, huh? Is that a hint you want to get this thread back on track? Sowwy. I think it speaks to our subconscious truths. The subconscious truths that the mostly ugly world and its technical worldly explanations of everything have stifled tremendously so that we no longer consciously know they're there any more. And that's why we crave mystery and beauty. I think "unbeknownst" to our worldy minds that it reminds us of what's there before and after our time in the world is over. And that's why we're fascinated. There's a place within us that knows all the mysteries and all the beauties that the world has taken away and when we see a glimpse of it in the world we're fascinated and want more of it.

But why are we? Other biological organisms are content with eating shitting and sleeping essentially the desire for expression is interesting. Why aren't we more consumptious than we already are. What makes a painter want to paint the human soul or a singer sing about it or a writer describe it. If you've ever been an artist or been around any you'd know it's a need not a want. Where in the ether does that come from
The answer's been under your nose. It's the general need and fascination to explore. 1. We're curious creatures based on a particular component of the brain that triggers curiosity. Nothing mystical or spiritual there. 2. Self-expression is purely psychological. Whether you call it spiritual or something "greater", that component is your conscience. 3. A need is something we cannot live without. A want is a personal desire that's not needed to keep your existence afloat or alive. That there is the truth.
Nevermind, I don't really understand what I was trying to ask. Well, I do, but not how to put it in words. As far as numbers go though, I got my Numerology. My Astrology with numbers and letters. I was curious how can science use math to figure things out but don't know why they can like who decided 1+1=2 and why not some other number and what if it is some other number, then what would that say about science?
