Tha fourth book sucked just like you said so damn anti climatic and the Jacob part was so unneeded. Stephanie Meyers can't fucking write she's just lucky a lot of young girls desperately want to believe they can be plain and get the best guy out there.

    basically

if you can tap a certain audience like she did, there will be spoils to earn

she happened to tap the pathetic, love-lorn hopeless romantic chicks that love to read those love novels with the bodybuilding savage on the cover and got rich

the holy man by susan trott

    the alchemist by paulo coelho

i find myself picking these books up quite regularly when i'm feeling a little lost or overwhelmed by the world and my responsibilities and place within it. the novels seem to give me a peace and a strength to move forward.

Some of it was not quite what I'm into, but they were pretty hot. She needs to do more "fairy tales" IMO. I'd like to see what other interesting twists she'd come up with. :smt047

Yeah, some of it was a little out there, but as a whole, I really enjoyed it. I polished off all three in an evening. LOL

I wish she would go back to writing that stuff... but I don't think that with the direction she's chosen these days we have a snowball's chance of that happening. :(

Yep, pretty much. I love what Stephen King said about Stephenie Meyer:

I read them over a weekend. I like the way she develops her characters because it puts you right in their heads. She's very skillful at really drawing you into the story.

Sadly, I don't think she'll go there again either. Hell, maybe I should write them myself.

Just read it. I agree with him completely she is totally overrated and simply can't write. She's the Brittney Spears of writing minus the hottness. At least Brittney Spears knows she's an entertainer and doesn't go around pretending to be a diva like Meyers. She truly believes herself to be in the same league as Rowling which is ridiculous. What amazes me is how many people say King is jealous of her. Do these people understand this is the same man who wrote Misery Shawshank and the Greenmile. King is in the top 3 of his generation I wouldn't put Meyers in the top 30 regardless of commercial success.
