You can leave it as it is. Both parties (male & female) appear to participate in the discussion in civilized and mature manner.

I was actually hoping that when Obama's health care reforms were to kick in, perhaps it could potentially reduce obesity and other health-related diseases due to the benefits that the package has. The repeal that the Republicans made has failed, but their intention to repeal it hasn't eased up. People and politicians are complaining about wanting to assassinate Obama over a political bill that would improve the well-being and condition for all Americans in the country. If things were to work out in the Democrats favor, obesity would eventually fall for everyone in this country in future years. Again, I'm sorry about my initial post, I should have thought again about finding a good title, but this is exactly what I wanted to discuss.

This is even more from the Athens Banner Herald, which was the first website to talk about his outrageous statement, accessible from The Huffington Post.

And remember, this is all over healthcare reform, which has some reference to obesity. The fact that people and politicians are casually speaking out about assassinating Obama (because of him personally and politically) still questions what it truly means to get through everyday being a BM in this country? It still sends a message that generally within the United States, white people hate black people, while the site is promoting IR dating between white women and black men, at a volatile and dangerous time.

Mike don't back down at all kid.
These whinners need to grow up and just learn not to participate in threads they don't like instead of bitching.

If like minded people want to talk about it they should besides you're new you how could you know about past thread.

Dude the topic has never been discussed its been argued because too many sensative ass people can't bare to hear anything negative that might indirectly be about them. The merrits of the topic are never discussed just the emotions.

Thanks for backing up me man, I sure could've used it. Anyways, the result of learning about this is a sad day for this community. We're going through a rough patch this year and in 2012. Hopefully in 2013 things will look brighter for us.

Yes, it has been discussed, more than we can count. An the way some men have chosen to approach it has been less that civil. It always end up being a bash fest and of course women take offence to that.
The topic per se is ok, the bashing is not. For the umphteen time, its not what you say, but how you say it and the vitriol against overweight women just doesnt allow for a civil debate - its silly to blame some women for being sensitive when such below the belt language is being used by many of you. Im not even close to overweight but I get really tired of the inability of some men on here not getting that. Keep it civil without the bashing and you wont get the attacks.
Naming a thread about overweight and aiming it at women and then claiming its about health and cost, its offensive. If its about that, then discuss overweight as a whole. I mean wdf.
And don't come w the PC ish. Its not about that. Its about being an adult about the topic and keep the bashing out of it. Its easily done.

If you, as a man starts bashing overweight women on here, you have in fact made yourself guilty of what you accuse women of - adding emotions to it. That is exactly what it is when you bash overweight women - you added emotions, how the H do you expect responses to that will be without emotions? What a concept.

Stop footing the blame on women that react to that when you started the involvement of emotions with including your own emotions in the discussion to begin with.
And with "you" I dont mean you MrF - I mean all men that bash overweight women and then get bent out of shape when they are met with the same ammo they started out with themselves - emotions.

Unfortunately FG, my brain acted too instaneously, initially. I did recommend that there should be a way to edit titles after you post a thread. It took me like 5 minutes or so just to sit down and think of a new title. Besides, the mod says it's okay now, he still wants this discussed. I'm checking most often for any obesity related threads in the Stereotypes & Myths section and the Prejudice section.

Anyways I found one thread relating to Obesity. Are you sure this wasn't discussed on tons of threads or has it been just this one thread?

You realize that "the mod" - my lovely friend GZ (unchosen to you) is not the only mod on here and he is not the end all be all - forgive me GZ:)

I disagree w him because the title WILL seal the fate of this thread sooner or later. Mark my words - its only a matter of time.

I will leave this thread alone and get my popcorn:)

Your initial though wasn't about general obesity, I can read you know.
Granted, if you changed your mind, cool.. but don't pretend you meant something you didn't. Redirection and all;-)

I've yet to see it done here kid. Actually I don't see the bashing and again its interesting to see people still coming in here when they hate the subject.

Not seen it, are you kidding?

That is just funny, we even had women leaving because of the bashing, its not up for interpretation, it has been painfully clear on many occasions.

And yes, I will keep out of it as I said - its doomed.
I do hope it can stay civil, and on point... but I wont hold my breath
    ;-)

Give me a break FG its a bunch of women who are being over sensative. No one has ever called anyone out by name. No one has ever said I can't stand fat women especially (insert name here).
Just like when there was a thread about African American males dropping out like crazy no guy on here got all sensative about it because we all had the good sense to know it wasn't about us.
There are a lot of women who want to believe that being obese is ok and if a man doesn't like it he's being shallow. Yes some men like thicker women but let's be fucking honest what most of the people on here consider thick is plain obese. I didn't make the guidelines and regulations blame the federal government.

And again like I keep preaching, have the good sense to stay the fuck out of threads you know will offend you. Its common sense. If you want to emotionally vent about how unfair big chicks are treated then start a thread but otherwise knock off the whinning. It never changes anyones mind.

By the way, BlackBull1970 likes big women, view his thread. I like girls who think it's cool to fart. I don't have a problem with his fetish nor my own, they are weird fetishes we both have. But when you look at it obesity beyond that window, it warrants political, economic and social action immediately. We cannot ignore it, it is impossible. I like thick girls too, just like Fantastic said, but not obese girls.

Ok, I've learned my lesson about this. I'll only talk about obesity (in general) in this thread and no where else.

I have to agree, to be honest, a lot of the guys on the forums have specifically mention liking ladies with "more meat on their bones" over anything else. Only a select few, including myself have state we have a preference for more thinner women. And majority of the times the topic is approached, it deals with obesity
in general. In my opinion, the more we talk about this topic, the better, because for being such an epidemic within our country (American's are the fattest people in the world), it's very often brushed under the rug. To be honest though, I think it would be more proficient to talk about obesity in general than neutralizing it specifically by gender. After all, more men are overweight than women, even though their is more women who are obese than men. (And caucasian women
have the smallest statistics of being obese by all.) Surprisingly, black men
also have the lowest obese ratings among men.

We've got the Olympics that would be televised on ESPN next year also. That's another reason why it should be talked about, because it would be great to see male and female athletes representing the United States who win in the competitions, instead of people from Kenya or Ethopia. Every 4 years, whether it's the World Cup or the Olympics, a few countries beat the United States in the events, and it's always those same two countries that always win. Here are some videos, one's focusing on a white guy, the other one focuses on an ethiopian female.
