All you really have to do is cross the two ends then push one of ends into the loop. I press the loop against the back of my front teeth to help me anchor it to get one end through the hole. Keep practicing.

I can't believe I'm doing this, but here goes......

#1 - I like working late at night & throughout the night. Always that way since 1981. Though I once rather preferred partying & boogieng on the weekends, I still have too much vampire in my blood, I guess. William Hanna & Joseph Barbera, as well as The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and other artistes, used to enjoy creating and what not late at night into the wee small hours of the morning...






#2 - To date, I've travelled to 9 foreign countries:

Denmark

Canada

Iceland

Australia

Nederlands (Holland)

Ireland

Sweden

Great Britain (My current home)

Finland


And 15 U.S. States..

California

Minnesota

Michigan

Maryland

Wyoming

Florida

Pennsylvania

Nevada

New Mexico

Texas

Hawai'i

Nebraska

Illinois

Ohio

Colorado (The latter three, in successively chronological order, I have called home [From Birth till 2000])


As for WHY all the travel? Spending MY vacation/furlough/holiday in Cleveland, Ohio? On my regular 2-3 days/nights off...all that *I* ever had there for *any* kind of entertainment....was, after David Letterman & Tom Snyder, there was no *real* "cable" teevee for us then....just my vinyl LPs, VHS movies, and hardcover books to enjoy.

An' other than that, what the hell ELSE was I gonna do? Lookit the four walls of my flat/apartment?

At least, all that travel DID broaden my horizons regarding people & life overall......

#3 - As a kid I never idolised any sports figures or police or firefighters...

MY idols were:

Charles M. Schulz ("Peanuts" comic strip creator)

and

Friz Freleng ("Looney Tunes" director)







#4 - I don't own a cell phone.

Not do I own an i-pod, mp3, OR a Blackberry..(They don't have MY music *readily* available...YET!)

Moreover, I don't need to keep in touch withn ANYBODY (colleagues, friends, or acquaintances) THAT bad!






#5 - I don't listen to ANY msic on radio (It's mostly Top 40 sturm und drang as foisted upon us by the Media Monopoly Programmers).

I *only* listen to The BBC (here at home & on the continent) and NPR in The States






#6 - I don't smoke.





#7 - I drink socially. And when I do, it's just Red Wine or a Bloody Mary.








#8 - I cook a lot...but NOT for people! (Well, for Mrs MDBCartoon, sometimes..) But.....well lemme put it to ya *this* way..

In College, I wore a black armband in mourning when The Original 9-Lives Cat Food spokescat "Morris" died. What does THAT tell you?

Ennyroad, if you ever see me slicing, dicing, measuring & mixing all kinds of leftover fish, chicken and other assorted table scraps, you know it's for the neighbourhood moggies both here and Stateside. Ironically, at this time, we don't own any cats (or pets of any sort) as we both have WAY too busy schedules..



#9 - Despite my screen name, I do NOT look at alot of today's cartoons - or animated feature films in cinema, for that matter) Most of 'em nowadays, is just the aforementioned sturm und drang - and just out-and-out dross. I only watch "The Simpsons", "Family Guy", & "Garfield".
Besides, not bothering to 'keep up' with the so-called "competition" out there is conducive to keeping *my* personal creative edge sharp.





#10 - I *hate* the sun & the heat. I prefer *cooler* temperatures. I'm kinda like Mr. Freeze in "Batman"...Heatb is sorta like *lethal* to my physiognomy. LOL!
Once, when waiting for a bus in the Denver winter, I took shelter of the shad of a lamppost to get away from what 'sun' there was(!)
One other time, back home in Evanston (Illinois), circa 1982, I took a long, solitary nighttime walk on the Evanston beachfront at 2 A.M. in November(!)



#11 - The only sports that I watch are:

Football (soccer)

Gridiron (U.S. football)

Baseball (only the CUBS! [What else BUT?!?])





#15 - I don't care for eating red meat all that much..
I'm NOT a 'hardcore' vegetarian, mind you. Though I *hate* hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, lamb, & veal..

I *do* LOVE bacon, and sometimes turkey & chicken, and every now & then ham.

I hafta 'fess up and admit that *I* am also guilty of that transgression of....not smiling as I pass people on the street & what-not. But it's NOT 'cause I'm hostile and/or bitter...

I think & concentrate a *lot* on *many* topics, concepts (abstract & concrete) and general thoughts & musings...

I was even queried by one former Time Warner colleague about "What are you so angry about"? .. and one bus driver (Stateside) who was kinda sorta mebbe abit concerned for me, asking "Why are you so angry?". I told th' fella "Not angry at all; I just am a deep tinker...and I *do* believe in saying what's on my mind.."

So, remember, if *you* see Yours Truly filming on location or attending an entertaiment convention, and I just happen to have a sour, scowling visage...

..I'm *not* really angry, hostile, or miserable...

It's just me face!






#14 - I don't have a real 'sweet tooth'....per se....

I just never cared for candies, cakes, pastries and/or pies much. Even as a youth....ESPECIALLY as a youth. I have the occasional cookie or slice of pie every 3 or 4 months...if that.....



#15 - My parents, who are no more, were an Interracial Couple:

Dad (who was Black) was a retired Captain in the Chicago Police Department. Sadly (for me, anyway), he opted to move to the Cleveland, Ohio area to be closer to his siblings 12 older brothers & sisters & one younger one. (He outlived them all).

Mum (Who was White) was a Registered Nurse. She preceded Dad in death by 8 years.



Great. I just ended on a morbid note.....


Oh, well....there's the REAL DEAL...warts and all.
