In other words in summation : how can you sit there and say One race is below you and love another ? explain that.

also according to that link you put up how are the WW offended if we still find bw attractive ?

also how is not offensive to put up an Asian womens thread versus a Black womens thread ?

halle wants her to be considered black now

    http://theurbandaily.com/gossip-new...ebony-abandoned-black-people/?omcamp=EMC-CVNL

............In the cover story she answers questions about interracial dating and her daughter Nahla’s ethnicity.

“I think is that that’s something she’s going to have to decide,” Berry says of her daughter’s race. “I’m not going to put a label on it. I had to decide for myself and that’s what she’s going to have to decide-how she identifies herself in the world. And I think, largely, that will be based on how the world identifies her. That’s how I identified myself. But I feel like she’s Black. I’m Black and I’m her mother, and I believe in the one-drop theory.”

Recent reports have said that her ex grew angry when their daughter was referred to as “Black.” As for her dating non-Black men of late she says, “I’m very connected to my community, and I want Black people to know that I haven’t abandoned them because I’ve had a child with a man outside of my race and I’m dating someone now outside my race who is Spanish and French. I have never been more clear about who I am as a Black woman[...] And who I really am is a Black woman who is struggling to make my race proud of me, who is struggling to move Black women forward in the profession I’ve chosen, and those relationships have actually helped me identify more clearly.”

I know she considers herself a BW, I find that comment funny considering in reality, she's biracial.

And she stepped over all these black men to have a kid with a white dude, yet her daughter is "black." LOL

We [black people] actually traded Halle Berry for Jennifer Lopez back in the late-90’s so J-Lo could earn some street-cred. Similar to when we traded away O.J. Simpson for Eminem.

....and stating that a Black/biracial man claiming the same thing, all the while hooking up with another white woman, and being plastered on Ebony would never fly is somehow talking slick about Black women.

I've noticed many Black women are not riding with Halle on this one and saw her claims of Black solidarity as false and only pandering for her upcoming custody battle. Why Goodlove would liken her statements to his, in the continuation of his failed argument is confounding, seeing as hers have been thoroughly scrutinized or rejected as false pandering and if she believes them; as a form of "false consciousness", cognitive dissonance, or more colloquially a case of being a tragic mulatto.

All this attributed to her because she is with her second white man in a row and had a baby by one. Black folks who fucks with White people and then go around ascribing pro Black verbiage, affirming their relationship to the Black community and discussing their former Black mates seem quite foolish, defensive, or over compensating; even more so if they are calling others self hating.

Good love, it's beyond the person's race of why you don't get along with him/her. This is evident in the American workforce, especially for some of the adults that are posters on this forum that don't really like their co-workers or have problems with them. The workplace is a hit-or-a-miss for many Americans, some people fare off well in their job, while others may have problems with their co-workers. For the people on here that explain why they have issues with the people they work with, it's mainly about their personality and the way they carry themselves, not their skin complexion/race. I have hatred for a few people that I've met of various races. It doesn't mean that I hate everyone of those races, in general. It also doesn't mean that I hate myself.

Colorism issues affect people of color all over the world, not just the Black community. It is just the result of the influence of White supremacy on minority populations. This is why when jokers like Lil Wayne talks negatively about dark skinned women, at least you know where that mentality comes from:

    Indians:

Asians (I know Indians are Asians, but this is for the other Asians):

And Latin America. Sammy Sosa just lightened his skin:

In Jamaica, they call it "browning" and in certain parts of Africa they had to outlaw bleaching creams because people were injuring themselves using it.

This is nothing new within the Black community or in the world. Remember the paper bag tests? Or what about Black film director Oscar Micheaux who cast lights as the good guys/leading ladies and dark skinned actors as the bad guys. This didn't happen overnight and will not end overnight as well.

Yes, I like the way you've phrased the issue and I agree with you fully here, Cranberry. That's a brilliant, informative post. Now the question is, will it change in the future or would this always be a reality in the world?

no it wasn't, in these cases.

Oscar Michaeux's casting wasn't a form of colorism, but a questioning/commentary there of within the context of the color line divide, not the AA community.

and "The Paper Bag Test" has been blown out of it's figurative proportion, to there having been widespread usages of an actual paper bag, which in most cases wasn't needed to determine eligibility within exclusive light-skin circles or gatherings.

I did that because you guys got in all of a hissy because she was dissing black men and I stated why get mad there are folks in this forum diss black women all the time....I pointed out all the shit they were doing. Yall cant accept the fact that it is stated do unto others as you want them to do unto you. naw you can do that because you love putting bw down because it is easy.

Yall stated that it is an insult to put bw on this site but yet have no problem putting aw on here. while there were several ww stating they had no problem with BM praising bw. then you refuse to explain why you dont have a problem with aw threads but have a problem with bw threads ... so tell me why is that ?
