I really can't imagine anyone being 130 and a size 14 unless they are 4' tall.

Espy is an honest woman, I dont doubt that she has noticed a couple of fit IR couples,,,, but I am with Andrae on this one,,, I have seen far greater Alpha Black male with below avg ww. In fact this has been asked by my jewish, indian, and white collegues, "why are blk males drawn into overweight white women?" And one of the brother in our team told them it is what available to them, it was shocking answer but has some validity to it. The few times that I have seen a hot ww with BM, the BM is a thug, pants on the ground, tats up ying yang, head bopping with loud music in hydralic car, and could barley hold a decent conversation. Othewise, the majority time I see decent looking educated BM with not so great looking ww. Sorry it is what I have observed. I also had an honest discussion with couple of white ladies about why decent looking BM end up with way below avg white women, their answer===stunning ww in her prime would not step out of her race unless the man is phenomenal rich or famous.
I know love is blind and it has no boundaries,,, and it is none of my fucken buisiness where a brother man is sticking his dick but it creates sterotype. Not trying to belittle anyone or judge someone's choice but just contributing to honest discussion.

I don't discount your observations either GZ, but it's just not what I see on a regular basis. It's not a couple it's the vast majority. Saw a couple about 2 hours ago at the C store. Nice looking young WW with a nice looking young BM and their child, probably in their mid-twenties. Both thin, fit, clean, just all around average couple. He didn't look like a thug either, but then I rarely see thug types around here anyway. That's just pretty representative of what I see in IR couples. If it wasn't such an invasion of privacy I'd start taking pics with my cell every time I see them, then maybe folks would believe it.

 

True but at the same time injustice is injustice. Why someone else dates someone else, can be just a small piece of a bigger puzzle. Alot of reasons people date others is due to influences through the media and stereotypes through history. Which in turn can lead to other social injustices...

A couple examples:

History over the last 500 years involving whites with other "races" hasnt be what most would consider nice, for a better lack of words. And on top of that whites have been on the top of the "racial hieracrchy". Alot of white Germans (male and female), white Dutch (male and female) etc participate in sex tourism in heavily black countries/communites (and asian countries) because of horrible stereotypes of blacks being hypersexual dancing fools. Alot of them become expats because they know down there they will be treated like kings and that they can get away with alot of shit, such as pedophilia etc. The motives they have behind there actions is horrible.

You have hella "people of color" (i hate that term, last time i checked whites a color too yet for some reason this term doesnt apply to them) who date whites because they have been brainwashed to believe thats the only way they can move up the social ladder and that they themselves are not as attractive/equal to whites. This is due to the media and history. The motives behind their behavior is due to conditioning etc.

You have a shitload of reasons why people date other people. I'd go out on a limb and say most are for superficial reasons or for personal gain in one way or another. My point is to think that motives behind why others tend to date others (im talkin about in terms of the way i described above) isnt or cant be a big social injustice is somewhat ignorant. If you only look at a single piece of a puzzle you miss out on the bigger picture.

 

It's the same here, honestly. For every 10 black and white couples I see, only 1 of the chicks are overweight. And out of those only half of them are even unattractive in my opinion. All day long at work I see couples coming in, and the ones I see with girls I think are ugly are usually hispanic guys. OR black guys with hispanic chicks.

For example tonight I saw a black dude dressed like Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bellaire with a chick that looked like a slimmer Kim Kardashian.

But maybe that's just Houston. And Oklahoma.

On the opposite side I saw two other interracial couples while I was in WV this summer, and both of them the women were way past obese. However, the men were NOT attractive in the least, not to me.

I still don't see why it's such a big fucking deal. When somebody spends so much energy worried about stereotypes and what everyone thinks of them because other people it just robs them of the happiness they could be having while worrying. *rme*
