Would Dr. Manhattan be considered ambiguous? I'd argue that he's an 'extremely chaotic good'. If he's allowed, that is my next pick.
An idle question andrae09, but hasn't the watcher on occasion intervened in human affairs, primarily on the side of the heroes? If so would this matter to the contest?
Yes but he can't be classified as a superhero because he's expected to be an unbiased observer even though he doesn't act accordingly at times.
Yes, but for the greater good... Anyway, I figured he'd be a tough sell mainly due to the fact that he acts without emotion because he has become detached from humanity and as a result his actions are beyond human reasoning. Unless there is a change of heart to the Manhattan pick, I'll go with Dr. Strange.
Now that's a good pick. I forgot about him. I really had wished they used him more on the XMen series.
There is actually one guy that I wanted to take over him.... but I think a lot of people would be unfamiliar with him due to the fact that he wasn't that popular a character. In the end, I think we will see this will still end up very much a popularity contest.
Argent Argent can generate solid energy constructs out of silver plasma, in simple forms such as protective shields, daggers, and battering rams. While she initially could not fly, she could create slides and flying platforms to carry herself and others through the air. Her silver plasma energy is said to be of a similar wavelength to the green plasma energies of a Green Lantern's ring. In JLA: Rock of Ages, Argent's powers in the future had evolved to become almost identical to a Green Lantern's, as she was able to fly and could create more complex energy constructs, such as an entire army of silver plasma "superheroes".
Okay. I'm confused. I'm not trying to come off as an asshole or shit-starter with what I'm about to say, but I thought the objective of the game was to pick legit superheroes for teams to be used in friendly combat match-ups? Unless the choice of the Watcher is some clever play on Sir Nose's part to have him act as his "avatar" to observe and moderate the matches that are to take place, I'm missing exactly what it is that the Watcher brings to a fight. As point out by Andrae, the Watcher's primary function in most of the stories I remember reading was as an observer to very critical events. Even the times where he has went against his people's code of non inteference, his inteference has been more to drop some knowledge on certain individuals to help them facilitate a positive outcome to an otherwise bad situation. Again, not being an asshole or dogging your choice, but the Watcher helps you kick everyone else's asses how??
Drawback. That big dome also makes for a big target. Better look to invest into some head reinforcement then. Adamantium and vibranium mix like Captain America's shield preferably. Sniper Check!! :smt066
LoL! Yeah, but aren't these Watchers all-knowing/observing, so they'd know you're aiming at them and move before the trigger's pulled, so to speak. I'm picking mine anyway: Clea Powers and abilities Clea is the Sorceress Supreme of the Dark Dimension, possessing vast powers involving the manipulation of the forces of magic for a variety of effects. She has exhibited such abilities as transmutation, forming and throwing magical bolts of concussive energy, magically constructed animate beings, conjuring objects and energies, teleporting, telekinesis, levitation, mesmerism, thought-casting, controlling others' minds, casting illusions, and the tapping of extra-dimensional energy by invoking entities or objects of power existing in dimensions tangential to Earth's through the recitation of spells. Presumably, she is capable of replicating any spell performed by her former mentor, Doctor Strange. As she is descended from the Faltine race of beings, it is suggested that she can generate her own mystical energy, like Umar and Dormammu, and draw upon it to fuel her magic. She also possesses greater strength and body density than that of a normal Earth human. Her age is indeterminate and the rate at which she ages is unknown, having lived for centuries but having the form and demeanor of a twenty year-old woman. Clea has defeated the Enchantress in single magical combat, and armed with the Flames of Regency, at the peak of her magical abilities, even rivalled her mother Umar in raw power, thus exceeding that of Doctor Strange himself. Clea possesses vast knowledge of magical lore through extensive studies of sorcery under Doctor Strange, who also trained her in hand-to-hand combat
