Having already experienced the gas chamber in U.S. Navy Bootcamp, let me give you a few pointers:

1. Your gas mask has a limited time duration before it gets completely saturated.

2. calm down - way down and try to breathe "shallow" or "light". Try not to take such full breaths.

3. If they make you do push ups or jumping jacks, try to remain calm. Remember: "DON'T PANIC!" (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

4. Breathe steady

BA: basic training sucks, but once your are through all that jazz and are training/working in your trade, it can actually be interesting and enjoyable (at times).

Yeah, I'm sure I'm gonna be miserable in Basic but then I remember that I'm getting paid so I got something to push me through that shit. Hope my MOS is as interesting as I've heard it's been.
