You know one day I was thinking that people are saying thank you for the thank you. If I get a thank you card in the mail do I send a thank you card back and thank for the thank you. Ummm..........no. Just seems funny. You may be onto something.

My view is not that but acctually thanking someone who went out of their way to send you a nice message. Which is onlypolite as you cant always send one back.

A rep to me is not a thank you note, at least its rare I get a rep that say thank you in it.
- its a present of sort, a nice surprise present - thats how I look at it, so when someone sends you a present, you say thank you.

Actually, when I created this WONDERFUL thread, I didn't know it would have become a "thank you for the rep" thread, or I wouldn't have created it. :smt014 But you know how it goes... threads are not of the creator, but of the posters I guess

I'm like FG, I usually leave messages for rep in rep, but sometimes you can't rep someone right away and you want to acknowledge what they said to you and this thread seems the best place for that.
