You might as well go and get you a copy of the DVD. Don’t even rent it, just buy it sight unseen.

    It’s worth it.

This goes with a statement a past member of WWBM made. "No matter how much people try, you will never know how it feels to grow up in a country where the majority of people look different from you" and to make matters worse the people treat you different because of it, which is what you got into.

that's an understatement. not only were we treated differently..we were treated BADLY in all areas of society, and it was accepted. Shit, some people went as far as KILLING black folk, just because of their skin color. You don't know anything, until you know what it's like to feel that could happen to you and realize they may get away with it, because of racist people at all levels of the government/courts.

Your right it is an understatement. America has elected people in office during its history who believe in no way the EQUALITY of man said by Malcolm X. I know some people here, mainly the WW who are tired of all this race talk, I am tired of it too. But it keeps coming up, because its relevant to our society and for the foreseeable future. Its irks us all, but the shit that we have to go through is unbearable.

it can get tiresome, but TBH i wouldn't want a WW who was not open to discussing race relations in America. If I have a bad day where I was at the center of something racially motivated, I would want to have the opportunity to come home and discuss it and perhaps find a solution.

I wouldnt want a WW who wasn't aware of our situation in this country. That denial, stick-ur-head-in-the-sand, fair-weather shit ain't happening over here. And she better NOT say racism died when Obama got elected!

    :p
