Lol no...no...no...TS without tasting the terrible food you wouldn't be enjoying Britain the way you're meant to!
Plus I doubt you'd get the Olive Oil through customs, they can be a real bitch about decent food entering the UK :D

sadly thickie would be stuck at costoms with the oil in her bag, the new government is planning to crack down on food items being brought into the country, they are saying folks can go to the many specialist stores insted

( i wish our "specialist" stores in sheffield could get thier act together, gotta go to asda tonight to buy maggi cubes and shito as the african shops dont sell it! )

Lol you can get Maggi cubes at my Asda too!!

I can see why they are getting really stiff on foodstuffs though, some of the stuff I see on "Customs" is amazing, one guy had fried crickets in his bag another with rancid meat that had been in a holdall for a 6hour flight uccckk god knows what plague could ride in on the back of some of that grub, people or horticulture/farming does not need to contend with that at all.

i love plaintain if its boiled but not if its fried. can also only stomach it if it was yellow, my ex cooked it when still green and it was bitter bless him

i find here the best shop for the african stuff is an asian shop

one african shop looked at me blank when i asked for garden eggs and another keeps them in plastic bags where they go sweaty and gooey, yuck

I don't like it boiled it goes a bit soft for my taste, at least when you fry it you can get a firm slice that's still cooked all the way through, although I once under cooked it and it tasted like eating sour starch :(

only time i had it fried it was greesy as fuck and had been cooked to a crisp, i guess it had probebly been over cooked

my ex told me when boiling it when it goes from the brighter yellow to pale yellow that its done and thats when i serve it up

yams another fave here to be served with sauce thou my other half does prefer to just go for rice

havnt had fufu for a while, i get him to make that, friggin burns when your trying to kneed it after its done cooking

I like yam with stew, it's handy to mop up the sauce, I love the texture bit low on taste I treated like a bread slice, maybe I wasn't appreciating it properly.

In my travels in London I have not been to a Wal-Mart owned Asda store. They mostly are far away from the city limits I think.
