Man that would be so sick. I'm just really worried about the acceptance of my material. When you try to do something unique and different, instead of the cookie cutter mode that usually sells, you have a much bigger gamble in regards to if it will become successful or not.

Oh man, that reminds me of a story. When I first revealed my characters from my comic evolved. Me and fellow artists from aswembar productions had our own sketchbooks. My sketchbook had Cara holding Angel, and these two black women can by the booth to look at our sketchbooks. They flip through all my friends sketchbook, picked it up, check through the pages. Than they come to mine, one picks up the book, puts it right back down without flipping through the pages, and leaves. I just shook my head.

So today, driving home from work, I had the radio on my favorite station, like I do most days. And the DJ was talking about how everyone says that books are so much better than the movies, so he wanted instances where the movie was better than the book.

So I texted in that I thought the LOTR movies were just as amazing as the books.

A few songs later, the DJ comes on and one of the texts he reads is MINE!!

He prefaced it by saying, people who read are nerds and nerds are smart. Then he read my text and then said, and people who watch the LOTR movies are nerds.

I'm such a nerd. But, hey, I was famous for about 2 seconds!! :smt031

Freakin awesome haha. LOTR is one of my favorite movies and books ever. That's so cool that they shout out your text. I can only hope they bring back peter jackson for the hobbit. *Crosses fingers*

You can cross your fingers, just don't hold your breath. LOL.

I doubt he'll direct the movie. But, now that I think about it, didn't they already tap someone else to direct The Hobbit? *looks up imdb* I guess not. Though Peter Jackson is co-writing the script. That's promising!!

Though they're splitting it into 2 movies. ARGH!!

Babybro, I'm excited for u! Comicon is a great oppourtunity for u! Go convince some ppl to cosplay ur characters and walk around the con. It's good advertisement!

I wish I could go but I can't even afford something like siggraph, and that's about as important to my career as comicon is to urs.

I feel ya. People tend to not want to try new things. At Comicon, people lean towards the more fantasy type of deal, but I hope they open up and expand their tastes.

And that was fucked up how dude skipped your book. That's some bullshit. Keep your head up though. Don't look down unless you see some money on the ground. :D

It would be so badass is Olivia Munn stopped by your booth next year, in her Princess Leia costume. That would be the shit.

Will start this fall with a local university to enter their master's degree program in Industrial Engineering with a strong empahsis in Six Sigma and Information Technology. Looking forward to the challenge and to build a future for my family. I have decided to go ahead and work toward a business plan to start my own business someday. Getting tired of working for someone else who takes my ideas and profit on them. LIke they say in the street vernacular "NO MO".

    Good luck to you!!

I completely understand your not wanting to work for "The Man" anymore.

I'm hoping to get to a point myself where I can work for myself. Good luck to you in your journey!!

Well, my Saturday night plans got ruined. But, I guess they weren't really ruined, they were more changed.

I was supposed to go on a 3rd date with my coworker last night. Instead, he spent 5 hours at my house fixing my computer. :smt003

He found the spyware that was on it, and got rid of it and saved everything. :smt038

Now I have the updated AVG on my computer and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware on my computer. We let them both scan my computer overnight and now all the bad stuff is gone. YAY!! He used to fix peoples' computers as a side business, so he knew what he was doing.

I apologized today for ruining the night and he said it wasn't ruined, that the goal was to spend time with me, which he did.

I told him that I owe him big time for this. LOL.

And a back-up drive has been added to my Christmas list. :smt081

Sounds like your change of plans wasn't so bad. Good shit. Y'all got to hang out and you got your PC fixed. WIN WIN!!!! :D

And yes, backup space is crucial these days, especially for people who like to download a lot(like me:smt024).

Thank you Bookworm. I have printed out your post and laminated it as a bookmark for school as a reminder to keep in my study books. You are a inspiration and a great motivator. I misspoke in another post about not having no friends here. I see you and a few others here as friends. Again thank you.
