"Reggie", you're not on some random message board. You're on WWBM. How many trolls have come on here since you joined? How many of them were anything other than Black Women? Of the posters here who have discussed heat they've gotten for IR, how frequently were the persecutors were something other than BW? How many other groups of people have gone on network tv in the last month to blame Black Men/White Women IR for their problems?

If Black Women left Black Men / White Women couples alone, there'd be a lot less talk of them amongst White Women and Black Men.

It'd be nice if we could try testing that out, someday.

I see you love playing Devils advocate and all, but I find it funny that you being in an interracial relationship, that you don't "feel" the turmoil we go through. Be it through, haters of all kinds, the media, family or whatever. Not everyone agrees with everything that is said on here, but we're all here for commonality, not to go against the grain that brings us together, but the opposition that we fight on a daily basis.

Great post! I shall rep you for this.

It's one thing to play devil's advocate with topics like religion, politics, outrageous sums of money given in divorce settlements, but for actual IR? Nah...that doesn't work.

    No problem.

This is an active message board. The amount of posts on here about BW is relatively tiny. Using the absence of a qualifier like "some" as a basis for determining whether someone is bigoted towards BW or anybody else doesn't work in real life. The absence of this word could be chalked up to a posting style, or simply someone being in a rush. Of course you can assume anything you want. But I think if you're really honest about this, you'd have to say that in most cases this ALONE does not prove bigotry. If you've been reading this board as long as you say, then you should have some feel for the temperment of most of the regulars. An analysis of context and post history, not nit picking for the words "most, or some," would make for a much stronger argument.

Did you type that comment and get that specific response or did you just make that up? What would happen if you made this statement? Maybe some people would agree, and others would disagree. That's about it. Nobody thought you were a BW because you suggested "BW's butts are rounder" and I think you know that. You were thought to be a BW because from the time you started posting you were saying the same things spouted by angry BW who frequent blogs that bash BM all day long. Your posting and debating style were very close to known trolls who come here.

If I go to a political board and start defending George W. and claiming Obama is a socialist, then somebody's going to call me a conservative no matter how many times I might claim to be liberal. And it would make perfect sense for them to do so.

Did you make those statements and actually get those responses, or did you fabricate some of the above to make a point? There is no lack of understanding here. If a WW said BM make better husbands I personally am not going to bother typing up a response to disagree or say it's a stereotype. I'd probably just thank her and keep it moving. Is there really a need for me to point out to a grown woman that a BM who is a homeless heroine addict is probably not a better husband for her than a WM who is an upstanding doctor? To me, (and it seems to everyone else but you) this is a given. I simply choose not to type shit thats blatantly obvious. If you choose to type a lecture, well then do you.

If you say WW have flat behinds a poster WILL probably point you to the WW Big Booty Thread (remember what website you are on after all).
To look at this poster as "jumping on you" sounds like an oversensitive response. Just like jumping to the word "hate" at even the slightest critique of BW. You say some would overlook your negative statement about BW. By "overlook" I take it you mean "not answering" the statement. You have any idea how many posts on here never get responded to? That doesn't mean anything.

How so? I'm not saying white people have the prettiest eyes because I think eye shape, how lights reflects off the eye, as well as eye color are all important factors in determining how pretty eyes are. In terms of shape I think Middle Eastern women have the sexiest eyes because they have that "cat" like shape that I find sexy. But most races of people eyes are either brown or black. While people of European decent have eyes that are black, brown, blue, green, gray, and variations of all these shades. Unless brown and black are your favorite colors how can you not say white people have the prettiest eye colors?

When and where did I say I didn't feel or understand the extra challenges that interracial relationships bring? Maybe I'm looking too deep into what you are saying but I don't think IR are so bad that there is opposition that I must fight everyday. Sometimes my girlfriend and I get dirty looks. But "opposition that we fight on a daily basis" is something that I would reserve for Women's Suffrage, Civil Rights in the 60's, and being Gay.

Yes I do play devils advocate or the contrarian but only when I see comments or statements that I think are blatantly ignorant, stereotypical, or prejudice. When have I played devil's advocate to interracial relationships?

I know what message board this is.
    1. There have been quite a few trolls on here. I would not be surprised if they were the same person(s) just using different accounts.
    2. I assume most were black women.
    3. I will play along. Most of the persecutors were BW.
    4. I haven't seen anyone go on TV and blame a group for their problems. But I guess you have and I'm assuming it is a black woman.

"If Black Women left Black Men / White Women couples alone, there'd be a lot less talk of them amongst White Women and Black Men."

I don't agree with this. I think most of the friction between BW/BM starts well before a BM dates a WW. I think BM don't diss BW only because they give them flack for dating other women or in this case WW. Some black men diss Black women because they think they are ghetto, loud, obnoxious, don't cook or clean, overweight, etc. So before WW are even injected into the conversation BM are dissing BW. Some black women call black men lazy, mamma's boy, don't know how to treat women, thugs, etc. So before WM enter the discussion some BW diss BM.

What I find more than in any other race, when black people decide to date interracial they can't do it without knocking the opposite gender. I'm not saying all BM/BW who date interracial think like this, but IMO there is a greater percentage of this resentment toward the other gender than in any other race of people that date out.

Oh and I didn't respond to your first post immediately because as you can see I have tendency to type "thesis" statements and I wasn't in the mood at first until you challenged me. I was planning on responding but you just sped the process up.

Okay, do you drink? You seriously need to proof the bolded paragraph and correct the acronyms because they are completely wrong in almost every mention. :smt017
