So I ended up with 9 pairs of new heels, but I'm going to wait to post pics until the weekend because I have a pedicure tomorrow. But I took pics of one pair for my new avatar:

Can you even walk in those?

Baby I could run in those, and I mean without twisting my ankle and getting eaten by whatever was chasing me. I'm good in heels, it's all I wear. I suck in flats though, they just kill my feet and I have a hard time walking in them, it's just not natural. Of course not everything you can do in heels requires walking ;).

That only helps you make room for a newer and a better pair that you'll fall in love with too or even more so :)

But totally impractical! Oh well, every girl should have one pair of Cinderella slippers in the closet right?

    Thanx.

They're old. I used to wear them, but haven't worn them in a few years.

I bought some sandals (still have those) recently and some Summer booties, but I had to return those cause they hurt. I'm still shopping around for those beige/natural colored ones we talked about a while back and some other shoes I want for Spring/Summer. In fact, I want some new cute shoes asap, cause I have a party to go to next weekend.

Thank you! I always try and buy a shoe that'll never technically go out of style. In fact, I've bought shoes just cause they were different - years before and they'd come into style. I thought that was funny, cause I'm no shoe trend forecaster.

Thank you JC. You should post more of your shoes/feet. ;)

I agree about seeing Espys bday presents...

Cant wait to see the rest.

I have to live precariously through your shoe shopping as all my shopping is done at Home Depot for now:)

Been there FG. I actually love Lowes, I'd rather go there than to the mall, but every time I do I find a new project for the house. I actually finished all but 2 projects, and those are on hold for a bit, so I'm trying to stay out of Lowes until I'm ready to tackle them. I'm a DIY fiend, and I can always think of something that the house 'needs' LOL. I've spent way more on home improvement than I have on shoes... and that's sad :( Although home improvement is a better financial investment, shoes are prettier.

    LOL!
I live right between Lowes and HD so I frequent both:)

Im going to order 7 french doors tomorrow! UGH! Will be a steep shopping spree.
Found these one pain frosted glass doors I want in my hallway to allow light from the rooms. My contractor can put them in when he refinishes my floors next month (oh, and put in new baseboards and door trim).
I feel poor just writing that!
Sometimes I think I should do the bare minimum, but these days you cant just flip a house so I think I wanna make it "mine".

We should never go to Lowes together - we buy the store!
    :-D

Oh yeah! I can literally spend hours in there, and everyone knows this. The last time I went to Lowes, as I was backing out of the driveway my son asked where all we were going and I started rattling off all the errands I had to run and when I got to 'Lowes', he said 'stop the car I'm getting out!'. I asked him why and he said 'because I have a life and I don't want to spend it at Lowes'. LOL, smart ass. But I really can get lost in there for the day. It would be better if I paid a contractor, and faster, that would make it more cost prohibitive to do renovations. But thus far I haven't found anything I can't figure out, and it makes the projects a lot cheaper to pull off when you do the labor... but man is it time consuming. It's actually nice to take a break for a few months and not devote weekends to home improvement. I hope you get yours done soon so you can enjoy just living there.

Im So laughing at your comment about your son! I can feel himm ALL my friends have learned that lesson.. "you going where?? count me OUT":)
.. . I never spend much time in fashion stores. I shop shoes at Zappos etc and usually I go to Nordstroms twice per year during their sales to get a few pieces. Im usually bored to tears in an hour.
At home improvemet stores... yep - hoooouuurrrrsss! I was looking at these skylight the last time..... going - hmmmmmmmmmmm LOL

I do most of the work myself as Im pretty darn handy and have common sense so I figure it out. Hanging doors is just not a thing I wanna do, or refinish the floors although I acctually did contemplate that. I have decided to tile the bathrooms myself and my contractor told me he will teach me.

After this project, I have one bathroom and the peptobismol kitchen to do but that will have to wait

Tile is one of the easiest things to do IMO, I've done the kitchen, hall, fireplace, and 3 bathrooms without any issues. I laid my hardwood floors too and IMO tiling is about the same difficulty level. A good tile saw, a tape measure, and spacers are really all you need. I don't blame you on the doors, they are a pain in the ass to hang, especially in an older home that's had time to settle. Sometimes you have to weigh the cost of your own time versus paying a contractor and you find it's just more cost effective to hire it done. Hope it all turns out to your liking, I have a couple projects that I didn't like and have redid, some a couple times, but it was usually something like a paint color that I just didn't love. Although I have redone my kitchen backsplash twice so far, but at least I finally like it. I've learned not to compromise so much, if I find something I love I just need to do it.
