lipstick, give it up, you cannot argue with someone who has been a supporter of ESSENCE for many years, you obviously have no idea of the rich history, culture and traditions of Essence used to uplift and encourage black women. You are missing the point, it is not about have a sexy black guy on "a" magazine. It suppose to be a man that black women can relate to when it comes to relationships. You are looking at this from a white woman's point of view about a some random magazine.

That doesn't answer why you think Black women are deemed not relationship worthy.

Did you just admit that black women can't relate to black men?:smt042

So you're insinuating that the men here don't deem Black women relationship worthy or that our supposed attitude is common....

nice try, i did some of the research for you...cuz i'm just smart like that...essence sells 1.1 million copies of the magazine...now there are 309 million people in the usa just for a comparison...78% of the distribution is subscription...approximately 21% is sold off the stands...do you realize that is only 242,000 copies that get picked up off the shelf nationwide every month...i would love to know how many subscriptions are actually going to households vs. black owned businesses?

i'm sorry you can't relate to reggie...and if that is the case you can't relate to any of the black men here that date ww...since you haven't made too many friends with the ww here it really begs the question why you have continued to post...are you still bored? is it still snowing? do you need me to come shovel your walk and brush off your car so you don't get your hair wet or break a nail because ww we are strong like that we can do all kinds of things for ourselves and others:smt077

No she meant that a black man on the cover should have been one black women can relate to relationship-wise, i.e. one that's with a black woman right now.

Now where's that damn popcorn smilie :D

personally i don't think it should matter who a bm is married to or dating when it comes to relating...when emmitt smith was on dancing with the stars...omg, be still my heart...i love that man and you know one of the things i admired most about him was that he is a family man...beautiful wife and 2 gorgeous girls...he is married to a black woman...i still looked at him and thought i would love to be in a relationship with a man like him...it never even entered my mind that i can't relate to him...his wife...their two children...because she is black and not white...for me it's more about what they represent as a couple a man and a woman without colour...

Here's the mission statement for JDate below. Now does anyone believe they would place Glenn Sacks on the cover of their magazine knowing how he feels towards Jewish women? When you consider all the criticism and name-calling the author received for The Shiksa's Guide to Dating Jewish ...somehow I highly doubt this would occur.

Well she did say that she would have liked to have seen Robin Thicke on the cover but I don't think Maher would sell magazines :D

As usual, you're reaching. When Reggie Bush writes a book belittling and putting Black Women on blast you let me know.

    Exactly.

As a Jewish woman, Glenn Sacks can go suck on some donkey and horse balls.

Plus, he's not attractive, sexy or what-have-you.

    Now they'd sell mags:

Exactly, I'm guessing like most pro Black athletes, Reggie Bush has actually been with a Black woman. But if he's not dating a dark skin woman he has self hate issues or wants light skin babies

The irony is that most black women don't want dark-skinned babies either. What projection.

And when was the last time you heard the words "good hair" come out a BM's mouth?

To this blacgrl on here, why in the world did you go to robin thicke
and drool over him all the while on a website for ww and bm. Black women right now is also feeling Trey Songz, Maxwell and Drake, who right now is both selling more albums and have more hits out than Robin, but I love robin thicke thats my boy and I support him so in now way Im bashing him when saying that. Im more of less saying its funny you went
to him instead of those AND you are on a website that celebrates ww & bm relations.

Your suspect, I believe your a black woman who obviously hates interracial between bm and ww but find it okay when its a white man dating black women. That keeps the circle going, I believe you are prejudice towards this kind of interracial dating and is here to be slick about your shit.
