    More of my two cents

If we as the more educated or more aware don't share our awareness or education with each other how does humanity move forward. To simply dismiss someones "ignorance" as just their problem is inaccurate. Some times people need help understanding and what harm isrhere in giving them that help.

I think this scenario goes back to a "glass half full or empty" outllook. If you are more on the cautious/pessimistic side, then I see what you are saying ("half empty" outlook). But if you're more of the "half full" type person, you are more patient and wiling towork with people. I don't think we (minority-white relations) would have gotten as far as we have in the States without this type of approach (not to say that we have made it any significant amount, but that's an entirely different convo).

I understand where you are coming from, you don't even want to bother with someone that doesn't view you as a whole/equal--in any sense, but we can not progress forward if people aren't willing to work with others (on all different levels of ignorance), whether it be friendly or romantic.

Okay, that I actually agree with. I would add that most people honestly don't realize how bad what they say sounds to the person on the receiving end. Most people don't set out to be assholes, even though it seems to come very naturally to some.

If I had just a penny for the things that I have heard come out of peoples mouths, oh my, I might have a good buck. I suppose it's because I work in an educational environment, I get a lot of diverse interaction, but it still surprises me what I see and hear, especially in an environment like mine.

No matter what crazy things I hear, regardless if it's a t work or socially, I am of your belief, giving people a 3 strikes and you're out approach.

For what it's worth I am still of the "Glass Is Half Full/Sunny-Side-Up" Political camp.

*Not* totally jaded and/or dangerously embittered yet!:)

    So true, m8..

Remember, it *still* takes Two to Tango..

The other party *HAS* to be open-minded and receptive and understanding to external (beyond their space of existence) suggestions...

Positive results can be obtained in **no other way**...

My experiences have taught me that there are weinerheads, poseurs, and out-and-out reprehensible disgusting folk of ALL races, nationalities, genders, and locales.

As well as loving, gifted, caring, sharing folk of ALL races, nationalities, genders, and locales.

It's as Will Rogers once opined: Everybody's Ignorant; Just On Different Subjects.

To that end, I must paraphrase/carry it a step further: Everybody's Brilliant. Just In Different Ways.

After having travelled extensively since 1981-2000, this is knowledge that you cannot obtain from a book or a class..

I *still* look at it all philosophically....you have your good, you have your bad; We have our good we have our bad.

But I *STILL say with the utmost sarcasm & pathos that It's 2009 We're in The 21st century. We should've transcended *BEYOND* all the bullshit by now!

Note that I *did* say sarcasm & pathos, m8..

There's no way that we're gonna solve all our problems together...but individually, looking deep into one's self and examining one's own conscience, or even in twos..we can all try..

And not to worry, m8's...Albeit my being of the artistic type (I've worked as an animator for 12 years), I (hopefully) haven't gotten to the point where I'm like say, Spike Milligan or Charles Schulz...love to entertain through my animated work...yet embittered as badly as Milligan or constantly depressed like Schulz.

For the most part, I *am* still rather mellow and 'open' towards all...

I just say what's on me mind, yes?

    Couldn't agree more!

Don't ever stop doing that. There are far too many people who have turned blowing sunshine up your butt into an international pastime, IMO we don't need anymore.
