Tarshi and Christine so sorry to hear about your brother and friend. I wish them both strength to defy the odds. :smt056
Thank you so much Christine, Jaybee, Bookie, Espy, Athena & JC for your kind words and thoughts. The tumor is on the pituitary gland and is very large. He'll be going in for a biopsy today...hopefully it will not be malignant.
No worries mate. The last thing on your mind right now is typing correctly. I went with benign instead of "won't be", which is what I figured you meant to say. Not that I'm all about correcting you during this time.... I hope it all goes well.
X-mas is way too commercialized. PPL at work are so selfish and wrapped up in getting gifts, and who is got the biggest decoration or tree BS....... and forgot about the basics of X-mas, fucken douche bags. I declined to go to work holiday party, instead I went to local food pantry to help pack grocery for the poor.
I know that sounds terrible Tarshi, but pituitary tumors are one of the only types that can be removed without brain surgery. They go in through the mouth instead, and prognosis on them is extremely positive. Though the pituitary is the master gland in the human body, you can replace everything it regulates with proper medication and with no adverse effects on quality or length of life. I haven't had my pituitary gland for 17 years, clearly it's not a must have.
Tarshi, I'm so sorry to hear this news. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that your brother gets the best possible results from the biopsy. Much love to you, sweetheart. :smt058
GZ, that is a wonderful thing to do. Wait...you didn't steal the chicken and make the Sprite, did you?
I'm not celebrating Christmas either this year. I will go to my friends house - she is Chinese and we will to their traditional "Christmas eve" dinner... They do a version of the Japanese Shabu-shabu. It is awesome although I don't know half of what I'm eating, they had thymus last year mixed in. I just eat, no questions asked Lots of people, lots of food, just like I like it!
got my nails done for the very first time!!!!! It was an early christmas present from my baby and his mom. I'm so excited, though typing with these gorgeous nails is a bit difficult. Horrible mobile photo, bad angle, crappy lighting...yeah, being an art student makes me waaaay too picky about this stuff. lol But I love them! Just plain pink tips, but they're so pretty!!!! P.S. Nail salons are smelly. lol
They look great DH. You'll get used to typing with them after a week or so. Just use the pads of your fingers instead of the end of the nail. It still slows you down a bit, but it's worth it IMO.
