It's another one of those "i'm so happy, think i'll burst" kind of days. Sun is shining, blue sky, birds are chirping...think i'm turning into Princess Fiona http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9B_JPa4TKU
The funeral is this next monday. There will be a lot of people to saying good-bye to my great-grandmother. It's going to be a whole lot harder for me to let it go, but I will move on with my life. I will tell you guys what's going to happening to me after the funeral service is over. I know what I'll have to do. This time that I want to make my great-grandmother very proud of me. At very least, my great-grandmother is reunites with her husband, my great-grandfather in the heaven, of course, to reunites with my grandfather, his mother-in-law as well! Once more, I will tell you about this. I should have done like this long time ago.
I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go back on friday to pick up my uniform (ewww, bowtie, tuxedo pants, but oh well) then saturday for orientation. Awesome thing: orientation is at the Museum of Fine Arts. Apparently I'll be working there a lot, since this company supplies workers for lots of functions and banquets. Even more awesome thing: I get 10 bucks an hour, not 9, because I have experience and am still certified in Texas to serve alcohol. Best thing of all: I get to choose my own schedule. I email them every week with what days I am free and want to work, and they give me shifts then as long as they have events that need workers. If I need time off for finals or midterms or whatever, all I have to do is tell them and I don't have to work. So I get to control how much money I make, which is freaking AWESOME. Side note: I was perfectly charming in my interview.
Thanks so much! Me too!!!!!!! omg, so happy! I've been trying to get a damn job for a long time. lol Oh, and thanks to everyone for all the good luck, it worked!!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I decided not to wish you good luck, because I'm a bit superstitious at times, and it seems that whenever I wish someone good luck in an interview, they never get the job. So, I kept quiet. And now it seems like I was right! :smt042 But, I'm very happy for you!! Woohoo!!!!
I wish you the best... In about another day from now, I can reinstall the carpet in my car. The seatbelt still stinks, hopefully I'll be ready this weekend VAG show.
Lately I have been learning all about American History, and the presidents. It is all brand new information to me and with every new bit of information the view I held of America changes. Sometimes for the good, sometimes for the bad! I am loving reading about Ben Franklin and pre industrial revolution. The library is my best friend right now. What a history this country has.
Yeah, US history is hella interesting, as long as it isn't the shit learned in high school in shit(the high school shit is a little more one sided than information elsewhere). You learn more of the dirt in either college classes, or libraries or the internet n' shit.
This weekend I am taking my guy to see John Legend at the Winstar just across the Oklahoma border. I really love him. Both hims.
